Nestled at the base of the trees in the woods of Rhododendron, this home provides a simple and comfortable base for your all-seasons adventures on the slopes of Mt. Hood. With hiking trails down the road, world-class ski slopes within an easy drive, and an outdoor fireplace waiting to welcome you home, you'll have a vacation to remember at Lolo Pass Getaway.
As you enter this two-level home, you'll be greeted by a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances to your right and a dining table with a view of the forest to your left. Just ahead is a wood-paneled living room with a plush sectional sofa and a flatscreen TV for movie nights. Outdoors are a gas grill for barbecues on summer afternoons, a trampoline for a bit of family fun, and a fireplace where you can roast marshmallows at night. All three bedrooms - including two with flatscreen TVs - are on the ground floor, while the upstairs hosts a casual den and a separate room where you can do yoga or balance ball exercises in the mornings. This retreat offers a wonderful location for outdoor enthusiasts. It’s a great area for mountain biking and there is plenty of hiking areas nearby. You’ll be within walking distance from the nearest hiking trail (West Zigzag Mountain Trailhead).

Summary: I loved the nostalgia of knowing this old home had been through so much and still keeping us safe and warm. The beds were comfortable, the showers delightfully warm, the kitchen full of all the utensils, pots and pans that were needed, including some spices that I had forgotten to prepare a great Thanksgiving meal for the family to enjoy. The upstairs allowed our grandson to play games or watch movies. The main living room was nice to relax in and visit on a comfortable couch. Beautiful location, cute decorations, very clean, smelled good, and the backyard was big and had access to fun trails to walk on and enjoy the wonderful outdoors. There was a trampoline to jump on and an outdoor fireplace to watch a fire burn. One of the most exciting things about it was that our dogs could run and enjoy the yard, the trails and the forest. When we went to leave I had to pry my little snorkie Gigi off the back of the couch as she was right at home there. I can't wait to visit again!

Summary: Couldn’t get in touch w Vacasa. Turns out wasn’t a big deal but 20 min hold and no answer. If we had issue that need a human would have been a major problem

Summary: This house was close to everything we wanted to do near Mt. Hood. Despite the remodeled interior, the house is definitely old but the owners did a great job updating it. Only thing that kept it from 5 stars was there was lots of broken glass in the yard which made us concerned for our dog.
