In the Snowdonia National Park, a 5-minute drive from the market town of Dolgellau, Dolgun Uchaf Guest house and Cottages is a farmhouse full of character offering views, well-equipped bedrooms and free Wi-Fi in the public areas. Free parking onsite is also offered. The bedrooms are spacious and modern, and some retain original features such as beams. Each is nonsmoking and has tea/coffee making facilities, a flat-screen TV and an private bathroom with towels and free toiletries. It is a room only rate basis here as we currently do not serve breakfast. We recommend the local cafe 'Y Sospan' which is located only 1.2 miles away and is available from 8am. The cafe can cater for vegetarian and gluten-free diets. Guest can find places to eat in Dolgellau. Cader Idris Mountain is 5 minutes’ drive from Dolgun Uchaf Guest house and Cottages. Positive: Quite nice accommodation. Old property so was quaint.
Negative: Accommodation was right next to campsite. Didn't want this so wouldn't rebook for that reason because of cost. Would expect something more private. Lacking some things in rooms had to buy. Would be easy to provide given price.

Positive: We had a lovely overnight stay in the 2 bedroom cottage. It was cleaned to a high standard and had everything we needed. The hot tub was a nice addition. Wished we could have stayed longer
Negative: Not a massive issue but there were not enough fire lighters or kindling for the hot tub burner, the logs were also quite damp so it took a long time to get the fire going. The pillows were much too hard, but that's a personal preference
