Positive: Thank you, Marco and Monica, for making our stay so special. From the warm late-night welcome with drinks to the beautifully prepared rooms, everything was perfect. We loved the variety of accommodation – the retro ensuite room upstairs with its Vespa was a hit with the girls, while our ground floor ensuite with pool access was ideal. Breakfast was always a delight, with fresh local produce and a true taste of Sicily. Monica even baked three fabulous Sicilian-inspired cakes during our stay – each one a highlight in its own right (and proof that calories definitely don’t count on holiday!). Marco, your passion for your country and your guidance made our visit even more memorable. Your advice certainly added to our stay – from recommendations on where to eat and shop, to the equally important advice on where not to! Even practical tips, like the reminder that white parking spaces are for residents only, proved invaluable – and saved us the fate of a friend back home who learned the hard way when his hire car disappeared. Standout trips included the ancient hilltop city of Erice, Cefalù, Palermo city centre, the boat trip to Favignana, and Giardino Garibaldi in Palermo – a natural wonder of ancient fig trees. Your suggestions truly made the difference. Dinner recommendations we loved: • Ristorante Villa Antigone – Grandfather, Father & Son working together to create a beautiful meal. • Franco Ristorante Pizzeria – more than pizza, offering a wonderful meal and first-class pizza. • Il Forno di Viviani Maria – a bakery that is a true Sicilian oasis of treats. • Pastory (Palermo) – third-generation sfoglina, with super staff and exceptional food. • Osteria Mangia e Bevi (Piazza Marina, Palermo) – a beautiful Sicilian restaurant in a stunning part of the city. A special thank you also for the care and first aid when I managed to cut my toe on a trip to the beach. Not quite the Sicilian souvenir I had in mind, but your help was very much appreciated!
Negative: We liked it all - We are fortunate to travel alot and have never been back to the same place - but we might break our own rules for Marco & Monica.

Positive: Truly idyllic place to escape from all that city chaos of Palermo. The villa is located a walking distance from Mondello beach but public transportation is also possible. The villa itself has a great vibe with a beautifull pool and well maintained garden. If you're looking for a secluded place where one could easily relax that's the perfect location. Marco and Monica are exceptional hosts that will excel your experience by treating every guest individually. They're always available and so easy to approach. They definitely made my Sicilian experience! Thank you for everything!
Negative: Honestly, there is nothing to write here. My only suggestion would be a little fridge available in the apartment to cool some fruits or drinks if needed.

Positive: Our stay at Domus Orestea was amazing! Marco and Monica were exceptional hosts who did everything possible to make our stay perfect. Marco's recommendations for places to visit and places to eat made our holiday even better and ensured we saw the best of Mondello and Palermo. Vincenzo's breakfasts were lovely and catered to our needs each morning - our daughter loved his omlettes made with local cheese. The Villa itself is beautiful and, for us, in a perfect and peaceful location. We had a car so getting into town from the villa was easy - The beautiful Mondello beach is a five minute drive away. We had a lovely poolside room and despite not having the best weather, waking up to the views and surroundings was amazing. We'd like to once again thank our amazing hosts!

Positive: We wanted to take a last vacation for three before the birth of our daughter and came across this accommodation while searching. We were welcomed and looked after with the greatest warmth. The host Marko exceeded all expectations and was always on hand with help and advice when it came to excursions or other activities. I can highly recommend this accommodation.

Negative: Internet was intermittent. During our stay it would happen that the owners would not be present when we were in need of some help and also when we left the property. WhatsApp was available to contact the owners, however the response times of a few hours didn’t help to satisfy our needs.

Positive: Monica’s house-the hotel - is spacious, beautiful, and full of art. The large swimming pool, in a nice garden, was very important to us. Marco gave us a great welcome and orientation and was available every day to give us direction with enthusiasm and good humor. Vincenzo was kind and very professional in his service.
Negative: The hotel seems in an isolated neighborhood, but there are a surprising number of excellent - and friendly restaurants within ten minutes walk. And Mondelo beach isn’t so much further.
Summary: The Palermo region is rich in beauty and culture, and the people are the warmest.

Positive: Marco was an amazing host who gave us a warm welcome on arrival and lots of useful information on the surrounding area. Mondello beach is lovely and in walking distance, with lovely restaurants (Marco can give recommendations). A great base if you have a car to explore Palermo, Cefalu (lovely beaches), Erice (beautiful hilltop castle town by cablecar), Segesta (ancient temple), and several other places.
Negative: Streets can be very narrow near the property - might be good to rent a smaller car if you're driving.
Summary: A gem for exploring northern Sicily.

Positive: This is a lovely property in a suburban enclave. Our room was detached from the main house, with a terrace and overlooking the swimming pool. Marco was a charming host, always willing to chat and give suggestions. The beach is a 30 minute walk away. There are numerous good quality restaurants within walking distance.
Negative: There is no fridge or tea or coffee facilities in the room although tea facilities were provided when requested. Breakfast is not included in the (already fairly high) rate but is available for an additional €15 each per day. Access is down a pretty narrow road which could be an issue for larger vehicles. Could do with a new toilet brush.
