19 ON THE BAY is a seasonal cottage that has been fully renovated and beautifully decorated and this one story Sandy Point cottage is ready for you to enjoy. Two bedrooms (queen size mattresses) with ceiling fans, 1 bathroom with a full sized shower, 2 comfortable living areas with sofas and chairs to relax in and a fully equipped kitchen are just a few of the characteristics of this quaint Sandy Point cottage.
19 ON THE BAY is ready for you to come and settle in. A large, flat screen TV/DVD, books, games, soft bedding and towels including beach towels along with extra toiletries if you forgot something all available for your convenience and comfort. The pantry is stocked with Tea Bags, Coffee, Bottle Water, Sugar, Artificial Sweeteners, Creamers, Condiments, and everything you need to make Smores in your private Fire Pit. Enjoy !
As far as your eyes can see is the blue waters of the Penobscot Bay which is just a stones throw away. From the wall of the windows in the four season porch, the kitchen, dining room and living room you get to relax and melt away in the sound and the sight of the waves that rush back and forth on the private sandy beach that awaits your feet in its sand. Even when you wake up and look out the bedroom door your view is none other than the Penobscot Bay.
As sunlight fills the cottage through the bank of windows that surround the cottage and the sea air flows through its rooms you may not want to leave your comfortable surroundings but you would miss so much. Kayaking, fishing, sailing, swimming, day trips to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Fort Knox, eating at Young's Lobster Pound, enjoying the newly open Gastro Pub "Hey Sailor", touring Marine Museum, Antique and Art Galleries. Summary: Cozy and very clean home directly on the ocean. Owners stock the home with every possible essential a person could think of and were very friendly. Would highly recommended a stat at this property.

Summary: We stayed in October. The property was clean, comfortable, and cozy with plenty provided including a fireplace, fire pit, kayaks and supplies for smores. The view over the bay was incredible both from the kitchen and the adirondack chairs out back . Close enough to Acadia and Bar Harbor for an easy day trio

Summary: If you want a fabulous host, a stunning location, and a delightful place to lay your head, you just found it! The views alone are enough attraction to make you want to book 19 on the Bay. But your host Carol and Steve teally care about your stay. They prepare the firepit complete with smore making goodies. The bedding is so cozy and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and the TV has all that you need. There are kayaks if you’re into that and a beach to walk on when the tide is out. Cant say enough about this place! We hope to be back. fire pit along with marshmallows

Summary: My husband and I recently spent 9 nights at this amazing cottage! We enjoyed the view soo much —it is beyond beautiful!! The cottage is furnished with lovely furniture, comfortable beds and beautiful linens. The kitchen is furnished with all the necessities for cooking meals. It was easy to communicate with Carol and Steve with any questions. Carol had a vase of beautiful flowers and a chocolate cake there upon our arrival in honor of our anniversary…soo special! Summary: We needed a place to unwind and this was it. Great waterfront property with comfortable places to sit and observe the occasional boat go by, lots of birds and a seal relaxing on his favorite rock, as well as the shoreline changing with the tides. We used the available double kayak to check out the nearby shoreline and we landlocked Rocky Mountain dwellers ate fresh seafood every day - especially lobsters - from numerous local restaurants in the area.

Summary: We love staying at 19 on the Bay. The cottage is charming and the view incedible. Carol and Steve are so thoughtful down to the last detail: their warm welcoming greeting, the furnishings, the little touches evident everywhere. There are 2 seating areas inside and at least four outside, one with a fireplace. Waking up each morning to the bay, seeing and hearing birds,and the chaning tides makes me so happy. Comfortable beds, excellent kitchen and supplies. Perfect.

Summary: Carol & Steve were the best hosts. They were easy to communicate with. The cottage was beautiful and was stocked with all the extras. They were so thoughtful as to surprise us with flowers and cupcakes for our upcoming anniversary. The weather was not the best when we were here but we hope to come back to take in more of that amazing view.

Summary: Carol and Steve are the most gracious hosts. The cottage is decorated beautifully- has anything you can think of ( even things you might need that you forgot ) you get to watch the river flow from the backyard with a glass of wine in hand. It’s just the most relaxing wonderful vacation. If you’re so inclined, you can go out back and kayak or walk on the beach. It’s central to so many different things -this time we just stayed and relax taking in all the beautiful surroundings- even caught a picture of a full rainbow:). See you next time! Thanks again….
