Positive: bed and pillows were wonderful. Cute little cabin. The restaurant was OK, Northern lights watching out front door was totally incredible !!

Negative: Room was quite cold and hard to warm up with small space heater provided. Gal at reception/restaurant could have at least smiled or acted like she cared.

Summary: OK stop for one night along a lonely stretch of road

Negative: Says it’s dog friendly, but once there found a list of “the rules” with fines if violated. So did not feel that it was really dog friendly and“no cat”

Positive: Easy to check in. I had the end room and it was great. Quiet, comfortable room, plenty of space. The husband and wife who run it were very nice. The kitchen offers most everything you would want. I was there on steak night, huge portions and delicious. I was alone, so sat in the dining area chatting with the wife while she prepared dinner. Definitely recommend.

Positive: Old and Rustic but clean. If you are a 5 star prissy then maybe not for you. Perfect for my family and I.

Negative: No wood stove or fireplace in the log rooms :( I understand though, I wouldn’t trust many of the travellers (I’ve encountered many) with a flashlight let alone a match. Same type of travellers getting outside their vehicle to feed and take a closeup of a Bison.

Summary: If you are looking for character with a place and its owners, this is it. Easily offended, stay away ;)

Positive: Loved the log cabin style motel in the gorgeous mountains of northern BC. The room, food & staff were excellent, got the biggest breakfast sandwich of my life! Look forward to stay again on my next alcan journey
