Summary: I thought the location was great, the apt is clean, but overall quality is what you would expect for an upstairs apt in an aging strip mall. Checkin was easy. The window air conditioner is in the living room so the bedroom is kinda warm even with the window open. I would consider staying there again if we found our way back to the island.

Summary: This is a great condo close to everything in LaPointe. Even though Tom's Butned Out Bar is across the street, it wasnt too loud for us at night. It was very hot and humid the weekend we were there and the air conditioner had a hard time keeping up. Maybe a ceiling fan in the living area would help with air circulation, but how often is it that warm on the island!

Summary: It was a very nice clean place to stay. Steps were a little tough to negotiate for me 66 and my husband 69, but we made it work.

Summary: The listing is 100% what you will get, the space is actually a little nicer than what the photos show! Its no frills but who spends all their time inside on the island? Have stayed in a couple of other units above the shops and this is has been the nicest so far. Was a little weary of the clean up/check out procedure being alot but its also better than paying some of the ridiculous clean up fees other properties charge.

Summary: This place is great!!!! First off I would like to thanks the hosts for working with me on changing the dates due to an emergency with my dog. Great communication and very understanding. The location is perfect, right in the middle of town and walking distance to everything. Would 100% stay again.

Summary: The apartment is nice and everything we needed was there. It's close to restaurants, the ferry, etc. Only the sound from the bar across the street with live music was a little disturbing at night, but it was the Fourth of July weekend so we can't complain.

Summary: The condo was in need of renovation. The host requires either a very substantial damage deposit or that you purchase damage insurance through VRBO. I found this somewhat offensive. Plus, the condo already has water damage to the cabinetry, a broken sliding door in the closet, and other damage. In other words, the host could easily claim that a guest caused the damage and refuse to refund all or part of the deposit. I spent a half hour or more taking pictures of damaged areas. It seems to me that the host could reserve the right to require insurance or a deposit without making it mandatory.
