Welcome to Duck Rock, your private lakefront retreat in scenic Dudley MA. After years of family vacations across new England, we renovated and outfitted this 1800 sq ft home to make it the perfect getaway for vacationers looking for fun, relaxation, and great memories. Located on a dead-end road, this residence has a private cabin feel, nestled in the woods on 2.4 acres and with over 200 feet of waterfront.
Enjoy your morning coffee on the large, comfortable screened in porch, overlooking the lake, or soak in the view from the master bedroom’s log-framed king bed. Take the short winding path down to the shorefront for great bass fishing from our newly installed dock, or get your toes wet! You’ll have a sandy, gradual entryway into the water, perfect for swimming. The residence is equipped with a canoe, paddle boards, and kayaks for you to enjoy.
When evening comes, there are two firepits available – sit up on the back lawn by the house for beautiful sunset views and easy inside access, or bring your smores and stereo down by the water for a true camping feel.
Inside there is a fully stocked and newly renovated kitchen, complete with stainless steel appliances, gas stove, and three coffee makers (Keurig for convenience, coffee pot for the large batches, French press for that perfect cup). With two refrigerators, large open dining area, and outside gas grill and patio seating, mealtimes will have all the comforts of home and then some.
The downstairs finished basement opens out onto the patio and overlooks the lake. The room includes a large TV, foosball table, and retro arcade-style video game console for some nostalgia-fueled fun. The house is stocked with indoor and outdoor games for your use.
With 4 bedrooms and 3 baths, Duck Rock is ideal for large families or multiple couples. The master bedroom has a rustic log-framed king bed with ensuite bathroom and dazzling lakefront views. The bedroom downstairs has a queen four-poster bed and antique writing desk and chair for a Victorian feel. An additional queen bedroom is on the main floor. The bunkroom has 2 bunkbeds for a total of 4 beds – 2 twin, 2 double. There is ample parking (easily fits 5 cars), charging station for electric vehicles, a washer/dryer, and AC throughout.

Summary: Water clean-great swimming. House beautiful and very clean-owner a delight to work with. However, the next door neighbor chewed us out about our dogs setting off his alarm but they were in the house while we were packing the car. He later admitted to accidentally setting off the alarm himself. Definately left a bad taste in my mouth. Certainly not the owner's fault.

Summary: We had a fantastic time! Duck Rock house is nicely laid out; we all had plenty of space and enjoyed morning coffee on the back porch. A great place to relax and visit with family. The winding path and separate rock stair options leading to the water adds to the natural beauty and charm. The variety of water toys kept everyone busy and we had everything we needed! Thank you for letting us enjoy your place!

Summary: Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Duck Rock. The house has direct access to Merino Pond. You can walk directly into the water from the Sandy beach plus there’s a dock which extends a good bit into the pond. The shed down by the water held kyacks, body boards and all the life jackets and paddles you need. There are also some chairs to use on the beach or dock. There’s a great firepit just off the patio which gives you a great view of the water. The screened in porch was great. Views of the water with no bugs. The house was layed out perfect for our family size. Kids loved the video game in lower level Hosts are extremely responsive. I would highly recommend and look forward to a return stay

Summary: This property was excellent. Owner was highly responsive though we had no issues. Larger interior than pictures looked. Direction and info on site for operating tv, video game, air/heat, were perfect and thought out. Gnome pathway was a delight for 2 and 5 year old. Water/beach area and dock were great. Water toys and floats were excellent. Fire pit was a winner. The absolute best was the large screened porch where we spent all of our time. A bit of a walk to the beach for the seniors making it one trip a day but not a thought for everyone else. We’ll be back!

Summary: We rented this home to celebrate Thanksgiving with my husbands mother. We picked her up everyday and she was able to move around in her wheel chair easily on the hardwood floors. The home was beautiful and immaculately clean and had great cookware and dishes. The view was excellent especially at sunset.We had a beautiful fire outside every evening. We would defiantly rent this house again.
