Enjoy a relaxing beach vacation in the fully renovated, professionally decorated, and pet friendly 750 square foot Sea Suite on the 2nd level of the chic Dune Cottage.
Located near the beautiful Ocean View Beach in Norfolk, VA, the Dune Cottage Sea Suite is a professionally managed, freshly renovated and stylishly furnished 2-bed/2-bath vacation rental condo.
Guests enjoy use of the private beach access path that leads straight to Ocean View Beach, just steps from the condo. There is no direct view of the ocean from inside the condo.
Also available for monthly rental. Please submit inquiry for monthly availability.

The Space:
This suite sleeps four guests and has two bedrooms, each with queen memory foam mattresses, full bedding, and ample storage with nightstands, dressers and full closets in each bedroom..
The living room has ample space for relaxation and has a 50” Smart Tv with cable and high-speed wifi.
There are two fully equipped bathrooms with shampoo, conditioner, and soap, and a fully equipped kitchen with all utensils, appliances, and dinnerware needed for cooking during your stay.
All linens/bedding, including 4 sets of bath towels, are provided. Four beach towels and four beach chairs are provided. No beach umbrella or beach toys are provided.
This unit is pet friendly. We allow up to 2 house trained dogs or cats and require:
-Pets not be allowed on the beds or furniture.
-When pets are left alone, ideally, they are left in crates. Otherwise, the doors to the bedroom and bathroom should be left shut.
Guest Access:
Access is by private door with door code. There is no ramp or elevator in this building.
Guests will have the entire suite to themselves. All suites / units are fully separate with dedicated entrances.
Guests will have use of the private beach access just steps from the apartment.
The Neighborhood:
This property is central to all local Ocean View restaurants.
Getting Around:
Parking - Guests are given one parking spot in the parking lot (unmarked). There are additional overflow spots available first-come-first-serve at the front of the building under the Dune Cottage Sign. There is no street parking available.
Other Things to Note:
House rules:
• Absolutely no smoking in or near the building. Any smoking must be outdoors at least 25 ft from the building. Guests will be fined if smoking policy is violated.
• No parties or events (gatherings over max occupancy of 4 will be shut down immediately unless previously approved by host)
• Check-in is anytime after 4PM
• Up to 2 house trained dogs or cats are allowed in unit. Pets are not allowed on/in beds. When left alone in unit, please crate. If no crate, shut all bedroom and bathroom doors.
• Please clean up after your pets when outdoors. Utilize the pet waste station to properly dispose of any pet waste.
• No fires or fire pits allowed on the beach.
• No fireworks allowed on the beach. Use of fireworks will result in a breach of house rules as many house fires have been started in the area due to fireworks.
• Please stay off of the rocks on the beach, as they become slippery and can be quite dangerous.
• Glitter of any kind is not allowed in the unit. Any sign of glitter throughout the unit will result in an immediate $100 cleaning remediation fee.

Summary: Pros: —Beach was steps away from the apartment and very private with no more than a few families at any given time—perfect for the current period of social distancing —Apartment kitchen was clean and well-appointed and had everything we needed —Bedrooms were clean (except for some trash found under the beds) and beds were comfortable Cons: —Parking lot was very small and extremely challenging to maneuver in and out —Tons of trash all around the building outside and sand on stairs made them very slippery —When we arrived only one beach chair was in apartment but rental company quickly arrived with three new chairs —No television remote—asked for replacement several times and did not receive —Shower curtains in both bathrooms were badly stained (one with what appeared to be blood)

Summary: This place was perfect for a quick getaway with a friend. The owners were quick to respond to any questions we had, check-in was a breeze, and the place was super clean and organized. The location was excellent - short walk to the beach, and it was hassle-free to have our groceries deliverered. 10/10 would stay again!

Summary: A friend and I had a lovely weekend. Room was perfect. Bring a few trash bags. Other than that we had everything we needed!!! Slept great and the beach we named Mermaid Cove was perfect!!!!

Summary: The Dune Cottage was such a great deal for the money! It was a nice peaceful setting close to a quiet beach in the bay. Quick drive top Norfolk or VA Beach for activities. I strongly recommend for small families or couples looking for a quiet and peaceful vacation. We would definitely come back. They provided everything you could need to include nice quality beach towels and chairs. The check in process was so easy, they text you a code. My husband & I were pleased with every aspect.

Summary: The stay at this hidden treasure was the perfect retreat to get away from the busyness of it all. The location was secluded, clean and peaceful. The beach was the perfect location to relax and enjoy the sun and most of all rest and restore. Thank you for the wonderful stay. I will be coming back!

Summary: Conveniently located to Hampton and Norfolk. Nicely renovated property. However, beds and linens need some updating. 2nd bathroom extremely tiny.

Summary: Apartment was clean and it was so nice to have towels, bed linens, and beach chairs available for use! Loved using an access code to enter and not have to deal with any keys. Beach/bay front was private and overall clean. Outdoor shower/rinse area could have been better. Would go back and stay again. Highly recommended.
