Summary: The home is beautiful with a warm welcoming feeling. Each bedroom has its own charm. The back deck view of the lake is exquisite. Every imaginable kitchen extra was there, spices, teas, coffees. The code checkin was a breeze. We were able to get our working time in and still enjoy the space. We made an excellent choice.

Summary: Our stay at his home was everything! The home was very beautiful. The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet. All the rooms had beautiful unique taste. Me and my guests enjoyed the entire home. We meet the owner and he was so nice! The rules were respectful and understandable. I highly recommend this home for your next adventure. Communication was immediate between me and the homeowner! Definitely coming back when we come back to Chicago!

Summary: Nice house plenty of room, easy access. Some of the furniture is a bit odd with build in Vegas style lighting, but it’s in good condition. We had a nice day and all went well.

Summary: Very nice, large, home with good location. Ice maker did not work, but that's a small item. Decorations varied, from very nice to "not our style", but that's on us. Closet space was great for 3 of the 4 bedrooms, but none available in the master bedroom. Almost all staples were provided, except a hair dryer, including soap, hair products, etc. Owner staying downstairs was not an issue, and he initiated a chat with us, which was nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: The home itself is great. It's large, well stocked, and great for as many as a few families. The kitchen is well stocked as well. There were a few things, though, that were surprises to us during our stay that we wish we would have been able to read about: 1) The owner, who lives in the basement when guests are renting the home, came up into the home when we were not there without asking or telling us until we asked. The only reason we knew someone was there was because we saw a bottle of medication on the nightstand in the primary bedroom that was not there previously. There were two issues with this - first, based on the listing, we thought we had the home to ourselves and were surprised that the owner would be in there without at least a heads-up if they forgot something they needed. Second, we had young kids and were not excited about someone leaving prescription medication within easy reach of a child. 2) The main floor smelled of cigarette smoke pretty strongly the first few days we were there. Our initial thought based on the smell and how it became stronger on the second day we were there was that someone was smoking in the garage or basement and it was working its way through the HVAC system or gaps in doors, etc. The owners claimed that they didn't smoke at all and no prior tenant had, yet there were cigarette butts visible on the back patio, in the driveway and about 4-5 of them in the mulch right outside the front door. It did get better after we asked the owners about the smell. Ultimately, this was a very nice home but I'm not sure we'd rent it again due to these two surprises we encountered during our stay.
