Positive: The location was great. The house was spacious and had everything needed.
Negative: There were too many rules and requirements before and after check in that we needed to learn and remember. There were 2 pages of instructions about what to do and what not to do. A lady called me to go through some of these instructions again before our trip. While I was expecting to go a very organised place because of all these rules, once we got there they told us the sink in one of the bathrooms doesn’t work and the washing machine needs to be fixed. There were some dust on the window handles so I had to clean it myself.

Positive: The property is in a lovely quiet neighbourhood, is spacious with a beautiful garden and pool, with grapefruit trees ripe for picking in the garden and lovely views of the mountains. The beds are large and very comfortable.
Negative: The washing machine didn’t work for our entire stay and Vacasa were very slow and inefficient at responding. We are back in the UK now and have still heard nothing! The sliding door from the kitchen to the patio is very stiff and impossible for our elderly parents to close. The sink unit in the main bathroom is falling off the wall and is dangerous. There is a lighting cable hanging very low across the patio which would be dangerous for anyone taller than us. The rug in the master bedroom is filthy and stained as is the rug from the patio to the kitchen. The bedding in the second bedroom was ripped and yellowing, there were no pillowcase protectors and the pillows are too large for the pillowcases in all bedrooms. The checkin instructions are out of date and very misleading. We were told there was a garage remote, there is not. We were told there was a tablet with an app to control the spa heat, there is not. The controls are actually on a hard to spot podium in the garden, about as far from the spa as possible. There are no basic cleaning utensils like a mop or a vacuum, only a dustpan and broom. The tiled floors get filthy going in and out from the pool and patio all day. We had to buy a mop and some dish cloths ourselves. The floors need a good scrub. There are only two large saucepans, one of which has a dangerous handle falling off, not ideal for boiling an egg or a few potatoes. There are only two teaspoons, not really a problem for four of us, but a new set would be good for a large group. The whole house needs a good deep clean. We pulled a bed out to access a plug point and it was thick dust. There were black hairs in both showers when we arrived. The home has no land line, which would be useful to report faults to Vacasa. We only had UK phones, which incur costs abroad and Vacasa had the cheek to ask if we had a US phone they could contact us on as they were unable to contact us on an international number. Are we really the first non US guests to visit?
Summary: A lovely property, but needs some serious attention to the faults listed.
