Summary: it was smaller than I thought it would be. Definitely need some repairs. The cleaning lady needs to be a little more diligent. Overall Tawas is beautiful and we enjoyed our stay

Summary: The cabin hadn't been cleaned prior to our check-in; the bedding was still on the floor and there was mouse poop on the couch. We contacted the property manager and she apologized for the mistake and sent the cleaning lady right away. The place is very small, but functional, except cooking would be a challenge, as there's no counter space. The door to the bathroom is difficult to open and shut, as it scrapes against the floor. The shower was nice, but ran out of hot water after the kids showers, so we needed to wait. The bed on the left is extremely squeaky, so every time you adjust or turn the whole bed creaks very badly. There is a motion sensory light on the neighbors cabin outside the bedroom window that woke us up multiple times throughout the night and early morning, as the curtains in the bedroom are sheer. The neighbors were smoking marijuana outside which smelled very strong and spoiled our experience; even staying indoors, you're stuck smelling that because the windows need to be open due to no AC. We left a day early.

Summary: Would have been much better with an air conditioner, even a window unit would have helped. The bathroom had a window that opened, but no screen. Had to shower with the bathroom door open to have any ventolation. Other than those 2 things it was fine.

Summary: Prefect for an up north getaway. Will be booking again in the future. Property was clean, well taken care of, host was super helpful and responsive. Great location.

Summary: Location and neighborhood was great, except the traffic noise from Route 23 is very loud. A note for heat, there is not a thermostat, you need to contact the property manager and they will turn it on.
