Positive: Warm welcome with lights and heating on. Extremely well equipped. Very clean and tidy. Extremely comfortable bed. Private and quiet location.

Positive: It was set in a housing estate and felt like home. It had everything we needed with personal touches like a book case and a basket of goodies. The shower room was quirky in style and inviting. We valued the washing machine and an excellent airing cupboard in the boiler space. The bed was quite soft and would suit many, though we like a firm mattress. The kitchen was superb and the sitting room/dining room homely. It was warm on arrival and remained comfortable throughout our stay.

Negative: It didn't have a view beyond the garden. The bed was too soft for one of us. The love seat was mid back so it was not possible to lean a head back to rest. We enjoyed the 20 minute walk into Portmellon but it may not be for those who find walking challenging. It is worth noting that those who live upstairs can be heard and we were conscious not to disturb them.

Positive: we never got to meet the host but to be honest there wasn't a need which gave us our privacy. the property was warm and welcoming had everything needed, directions to property were brilliant

Negative: the step up into the property was a big step and people less than 4 ft 6 inches in height may have struggled to get key in the door, maybe a little step before could solve this. it wasn't however an issue for us. Its a little short on clothes hangers.

Summary: The break away was perfect and relaxing, even the hills got you to sleep.
