Positive: We stayed only for 1 night in our road trip across Norway and this was our favourite stay. Upon arrival we had a marvelous dinner at the restaurant. Local food and friendly staff. 5 stars. The room was great, with a lovely view over the fjord. Yes, there are hotels right by the water but I wouldn't change the views and the cosiness of the bedroom. We really loved the shower too. Breakfast was, for our taste and needs, perfect. The hotel has a Scandinavian charm and peacefulness that really made this a very special 1 night stay. About 20 minutes after departure we were at the amazing Vøringsfossen. Don't miss it. Conclusion, an easy 10 stars out of 10.

Positive: Excellent value, very welcoming and accommodating staff who went the extra smile, great location in a nice village and breathtaking views of the fjord and the mountains, both from the bar, the restaurant and the rooms. Teally good restaurant too. Generous breakfast, and exquisite dinner.
