Positive: The apartment is everything you could wish for. Clean, spacy has all the facilities you need and brand new. Look and feel of a luxury lofts in a trendy city like Amsterdam, Hamburg and give you a feeling of being at home. Perfect spot for hiking and getting active in the surrounding nature. But also as a retreat for a longer period. Location wise has the town all the basics you need with amazing butcher, bakery, good supermarket in 2 min drive and some basic restaurants and pubs.
Negative: Nothing about this apartment, the host or the basic facilities in town. Just be aware that outside of the season you feel that the heyday's of this side of the Eifel are a bit behind and that you might need to take a drive to find a better restaurant that is open.

Positive: The apartment is perfectly situated between 2 Eifelsteig etappes, in a small village that was severely impacted by the flood in 2021. But the people persevere and are the kindest you’ll find. The village is still recovering but lovely to visit. Everything in the apartment was brand new and was carefully placed with comfort in mind. The bed and couch are firm but comfortable, the Jura was filled to the top with coffee beans and the fridge was cool when we arrived. The pictures are exactly what you can expect. Be sure you are okay with walking stairs (normal). There is one staircase up to the apartment, and one in the apartment if you will be using the second bedroom. Nothing too strenuous and in the Eifel I imagine you need to be able to deal with height difference anyway. It’s quiet around the apartment, no traffic or other noise during the night. You don’t need an alarm clock, the church will tell you at 7:00 it’s time to get going. The owner is very responsive, all the information we needed was provided upfront and any information request was found out for us. For food, I recommend you try Brauhaus. Very friendly people, great food and drinks. We had a great time and our dog was very welcome. You probably need to reserve a table when visiting in the weekend. We had been looking forward to the Greek restaurant near the Rewe but I will tell you to avoid that one at all cost. I highly recommend staying here.
