Summary: Such a cool hotel!! Our room was comfortable and beautiful. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and kind. Big bonus that it was a stones throw away from our bioluminescence tour. Would recommend this hotel !

Summary: The hotel is overall good and well located, which makes it a convenient option for getting around. The staff is friendly and the general condition of the facilities is good. However, there is one serious issue: the floor tends to get wet if the air conditioning is not set to a very cold temperature, which can be uncomfortable and even unsafe. In addition, the breakfast is quite poor, with very limited options and not much variety. Aside from these points, the rest of the experience was good.

Summary: Yes there is plenty of parking at the beach and in the parking lots in front of the hotel and my car was safe during my stay. The air conditioning was very cool and the bed was super comfortable. Paula at the restaurant was very sweet and helpful.

Summary: We chose El Blok primarily for its proximity to the bioluminescent bay, and the location did not disappoint. The surrounding area was beautiful, clean, and peaceful, which immediately set a nice tone for the stay. The room itself was interesting and thoughtfully designed, with a clean, minimalist aesthetic. One thing that surprised me was that there was no TV — something I didn’t fully notice when booking because I’m so used to rooms automatically having one. In the end, it didn’t negatively impact my stay, but it’s worth noting for travelers who value that amenity. The rooftop is absolutely stunning and easily one of the highlights of the property. I also appreciated the games available right outside the elevator near the rooms, which added a fun, welcoming touch. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and well done, contributing to an overall pleasant stay. The café on site offers coffee and pastries only, which was fine but limited. I did wish there were better breakfast options nearby, as the area doesn’t offer many alternatives — breakfast was probably the weakest part of the experience. Overall, El Blok is a unique, stylish hotel in a great location, especially if you’re visiting for the bio bay. A bit more variety for breakfast would make the experience even better.
