Summary: We enjoyed the deck at El Refugio. The beds were also comfortable. Nice location and view of Ensenada. 4 stars on cleanliness because there were a few really dirty spots (top of glass over stove and top of fridge) where a simple damp sponge would have done wonders. Hot water appliance also failed and was tricky to get hot water. But we were able to contact on-site person and owner and everything resolved to our satisfaction (I was able to take a hot shower). Overall good experience. Owner said he was going to replace hot water appliances.

Summary: Very nice apartment within walking distance to the central tourist zone of Enseneda where all the main clubs and bars are at. The apartment is also a 25 minute drive to wine country (Valle de Guadalupe). The area is also safe.

Summary: El Refugio made our trip to Ensenada. Upon arrival we were met by Rigo who promptly provided keys and showed us around the unit. The location was great and walking distance to all that downtown has to offer (1st street, fish market, restaurants, marina). Also a short 40min drive to Valle de Guadalupe/wine country. Price was definitely high compared to other options, but you’re also not getting a 2 bedroom apartment, gated/private parking, and full kitchen with those. Great stay.

Summary: Easy to get to. Access kind of tricky. Property really nice with a nice view. There is no front desk or office so paying at the property took forever since the terminal wasn’t working. Had to go to the bank to pay in cash with the risk of having the card blocked because of so many attempts to pay. Advertised with washer and drier but no laundry detergent. Overall it was a nice stay.
