3 Bedroom Villa in Positano

This beautiful Villa has a fantastic location, conveniently connected to the center of town, main beach Spiaggia Grande and cozy beach of Fornillo.
The views are spectacular, ranging from Praiano all across Positano and Li Galli, former Nureyev island.
The property is accessed by a narrow staircase from the main road of 70 stairs (few under Positano standards).
On the ground level the entrance opens to the largest of the terraces in this Villa which overlooks the sea and is warmed by the sun all day. On this terrace there is a large outside tables and chairs.
On the far right end the terrace is covered with yet another table and chairs which give the chance to sit outside even if it’s drizzling.
A door leads you to a comfortable living area sectioned into three room divided by arches, with various sofas, a smart monitor (Netflix, Prime, etc) and a big window which frames the view as a painting. A fireplace can be found here as well.
Through the living room you walk into a very spacious kitchen, fully equipped, with a large table for 10 people, high ceilings with exposed wood, wood oven for pizza and charcoal grills.
On the back of the kitchen there is a storage room with washer and dryer.
On the ground level there is also a guest bathroom.
A lovely marble staircase brings you to the upper level.
All three bedrooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated.
The first is the master bedroom with queen size bed, ensuite bathroom with walk in shower and a small terrace.
Adjoining is another bedroom with queen size bed and a door opens to a large terrace with sun beds and a breath-taking view.
Next is a twin bedded room also opening onto the terrace. These two bedrooms share a large bathroom with two sinks a tub and walk in shower. All bedrooms are air-conditioned.
The Villa is equipped with all comforts including smart monitor, wifi internet connection, Amazon Echo, ceiling fan in the living room, air conditioning in bedrooms, safe, dishwasher, oven, wood oven, microwave, fridge with freezer, toaster, coffee maker, washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board, covered parking for cars.

Summary: Lovely location perfectly maintained. Wonderful host and family. Could not have hoped for a better location. Just down the steps were 5 or 6 high quality restaurants.

Summary: This apartment is absolutely beautiful. It has the most incredible balcony with amazing views of Positano. It is so spacious, beautifully decorated and perfect for our family of 7. It is located next to many cafes and shops but not in the busy Positano Centre which suited us all better. Also not too many stairs to climb by Positano standards. Matteo was a wonderful host. We highly recommend his home.

Summary: Beautiful villa about midway up the mountains of positano. Walk from beach area about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic and crowds. Combined with Seventy steps to villa from street level, it was quite a hike but doable. Located near many good restaurants, which was nice on the days we wanted to eat nearby. Matteo was an amazing host, there to greet us and introduce us to the villa and to see us off when we left. He helped us with restaurant recommendations (getting us in before others waiting on the day or our arrival). He also provided us with recommendations for a driver, which turned out to be essential on the days the ferries didn’t run because of rough seas. Would definitely recommend to others.

Summary: The villa was beautiful. Although the kitchen was old in nature it was suitable for preparing any meals. Our only complaint about the stay there was we think Matteo should supply the villa with some basic staples like milk, butter, bread etc. Matteo was great. He was very informative at the beginning. The only problem with the villa is something that no one can change. It is 73 steps to the villa from the street. If you want to go to the beach via stairs you have another 369 stairs to navigate. You can go by the road but be prepared to walk uphill from the beach which is substantial. There is a bus that can take you to your villa which comes every half hour and proved very helpful on certain days. However you will be challenged by the number of people who take the bus. We loved Positano and our villa. Ciao.

Summary: We had the best stay at Matteo’s house! He was an amazing host and was always available for whatever we needed. The house is so charming, and you cannot beat the views from the balcony. It’s in an amazing location, close enough to walk into Positano main area but so quiet and peaceful not being in the main square. There are a ton of great local restaurants in the area, we preferred these over going into Positano proper. 10/10 stay and will definitely go back!

Summary: You will love this charming and spacious villa with huge outdoor and indoor space that provides wonderful views of Positano from every level and from every bedroom. VRBO host Matteo was very friendly and takes great pride in his villla. He gave us a tour of the entire house with instructions on how to use everything. Matteo also provided us with nearby restaurant recommendations and also even helped arrange a private transportation for our group to Bomerano. Grazie mille, Matteo! The lovely villa is exactly as pictured. Kitchen and multiple living room areas downstairs with a half-bathroom and a huge outdoor deck with sweeping views of Positano. Upstairs, three bedrooms: each bedroom with their own balcony so everyone has the same incredible views. There are air conditioner units in each bedroom if needed. There is a 150 Euro cleaning fee which should be paid in cash, but that fee is fully disclosed up front when you book the rental on the PDF agreement. Tip: if coming from the beach, don't take the Google map route (which will be shorter but vertical: all stairs). Take the slightly longer route up to Viale Pasitea which curves around. It's a more gradual ascent (easier on knees), plus you get to see all the great stores and restaurants. Overall, our group of 5 adults had a completely lovely stay in Positano. I HIGHLY recommend Matteo's Villa on Via Santa Caterina (located between the Hotel Punta Regina and the Chiesa di Santa Caterina). Would definitely stay again!
