An elegant and pristine newly built cottage in the grounds of Grade 11 Listed Manor Farm which is nestled down back lanes in tranquil countryside between Boxford and Kersey, two of Suffolk’s most delightful villages. The cottage has been interior designed with immaculate care and stylish discernment to create a crisp, warm and exceedingly comfortable rural retreat finished to the highest standards. With a vast bed, high ceilings, premium furnishing and marbled bathroom, The Dove House brings high end luxury to the heart of Suffolk.
Ground Floor
Sitting space – A generous three seater sofa and arm chair are orientated around a solid wooden coffee table and 42” Smart TV with views through the French Windows to the surrounding countryside.
Dining space – In one corner, below a large window, is a circular glass and metal table.
Kitchen – Down one side of the open plan living space is a fully equipped kitchen with sink, dishwasher, electric oven & hob, microwave, kettle and toaster.
Bedroom – Wood panelling envelopes and scrumptious Super King-sized bed flanked by matching bedside tables and large glass reading lamps. There is a chest of drawers and extensive built-in wardrobes.
Bathroom – Marble tiled floor and walls present a large wooden based hand basin, lavatory, and bath with stand-up power shower.
Outside
The entrance French Windows open straight onto the gravelled front which leads to a private sun terrace with outdoor table and chairs, BBQ and lawned area.

Summary: Stayed here for 5 nights after arriving from Australia jet lagged. We couldn’t have been more comfortable. The cottage was presented in immaculate condition and has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Best of all, the king bed was super comfortable and the location is extremely quiet, enabling us to recover from our long haul flight very quickly. Kitchen has just about everything you need, lounge room is spacious and comfortable, large TV with Netflix ect and Wi-Fi is fast and reliable. In fact this place is just as good if not better than the website pics. All the furnishings are stylish and of good quality. We were also very happy with Idyllic Cottages. Their booking process and communication was upfront and reliable. We had no problem booking from Australia.

Summary: The Dove House is easily found a few hundred yards off the A1071 and there is parking right outside the apartment. On arrival our host Jonathan had kindly put lights on to welcome us and there was a basket of milk, eggs, wine, biscuits etc. The Dove House is spacious, well designed, well equipped, warm and tastefully decorated. It would be hard to image a more pleasant place to stay.

Summary: A well equipped and comfortable property, stylish and beautifully decorated. Could do with a larger fridge / freezer. Idyllic cottages very well run by Charlie Allsop. Owner nearby helpful and friendly yet unobtrusive. Situation excellent if you want a rural position, central to many South Suffolk / North Essex destinations yet shops (in Hadleigh) 7 mins. drive away or in Sudbury a little further. We had a lovely stay and will return next year.

Summary: My partner Claire is writing this We fell in love with this place when we first came in April. It is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated with a really cosy feel. Everything you need has been taken care of. It is new and clean. Lots of information about where to go and what to see. A nice secluded private outdoor space (much more private in the Summer). It feels luxurious. The bed is absolutely huge. We love it here.

Summary: Peaceful setting. Lovely garden next to an open field. Welcome basket had eggs from owners three chickens which were delicious. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable underfloor heating. Nearby places to visit. Cafe cosmo good find.
