This iconic Montana Luxury Riverhouse is situated in the heart of Flathead Valley and convenient to Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake, Whitefish and Kalispell Airport. This affordable family oriented home on almost one private, sunny, riverfront acre features gorgeous views with direct river access. Abundant lawn with fire pit and outside furniture and hammock plus hot tub invites wilderness enjoyment in comfort.
If you like to fly fish, this is your place. Enjoy world class fly fishing right out the back door for prized Rainbow trout. From the deck, the hot tub, fire pit or hammock, your family and friends can watch eagles and ospreys fish the river with you. Geese and ducks are plentiful in Swan River's cool, sparkling babbling water with deer and wild turkeys sometimes visiting the front yard.
Float down the Swan River on inflatable rafts and tubes provided plus get some exercise on the four adult 21 speed mountain bikes, Play croquet and enjoy other fun outdoor games to promote family memories.
Quiet and tranquil, this home is a perfect base for day trips to explore all that Montana has to offer. The artist village of Bigfork is close with galleries, restaurants, breweries, shopping, golf, live theater, horseback riding and tours on Flathead Lake. Water recreational sports like whitewater rafting, diving, sailing and boating means there is something for everyone close by for every member of the family.
Glacier National Park, arguably one of our most scenic national parks, is less than an hour away. Also nearby are Crane Mountain and Jewel Basin, popular for hiking and spectacular scenery. The Bob Marshall Wilderness, a little farther away, with day or overnight pack trips into pristine wilderness.
The home features a king bed in a huge, separate master suite with walk in closet that sports oversized tub and cedar sauna. Queen beds are in the second bedroom and the spacious loft. The gourmet kitchen has hardwood cabinetry and granite counter tops and is fully equipped with everything a chef requires. Expansive floor plan provides spectacular water and wilderness views from every room. A bonus family entertainment room has a high ceiling open to the loft and a wood burning pot belly stove with big screen TV. The living room offers a gas fireplace overlooking the yard, river and forest. Linens and towels are provided in this immaculate and clean home. Bedrooms are air conditioned.
The property also offers a new, very high end cottage as as separate rental. We will list it with VRBO once furnishings are complete and we have photos. It has a master BR with a queen Murphy bed, an adjoining room with a double bed, an exquisite kitchen with a luxury dining "island" and in unit full laundry. Awesome views of the river. Fully air conditioned.
Summer regional promotions provide a lot of entertaining options including music festivals, rodeos and farmers markets. Early August means that for two or three weeks there are world famous Flathead Lake Cherries for purchase from any of a number of roadside stands. Shop the Ferndale Market just minutes away --- a complete outdoors outfitter. Winter means cross country skiing, snowmobiling and all recreational activities that are this area's winter wonderland.

Summary: Perfect Montana vacation base! Our family enjoyed this property tremendously! Hot tub, fire pit, hammock, fishing, tubing, and playing in the river right in the backyard, sauna, can’t get better than this! The layout of the house worked perfectly for our large group. We made all of our meals in the house kitchen and on the grill, the house had everything we needed. Bob was the best host, he even shared his raspberry patch and honey from his bees with us! We would go back in a heartbeat!

Summary: We had the best time on Rippling Waters! The beautiful river was our playground and we floated, fished and just enjoyed the beauty of it all. The home was so comfortable and well appointed and the owner was so dear and helpful. It was the best place to celebrate my birthday with my family!! We will be back!

Summary: This was one of our best vacations. The house was so beautiful and accomodating. The owners, Bob and his wife went out of their way to provide us with rafts, bikes, outdoor games etc. The view of the river everyday from the house was spectacular! It was truly a very special place for us!

Summary: This house on Swan River is the best rental we have had in 10 years of coming to the Bigfork area! The kitchen was stocked with everything you might need for making meals along with a pantry full of helpful items. The house was clean and had plenty of extra blankets, towels, and linens for our week-long stay. Each day we enjoyed watching the ducks and deer out in they yard and river, along with friendly people floating by the house. Access to kayaks and tubes for enjoying the river was a definite bonus.

Summary: Pictures can be deceiving, but not this time. It was better than advertised. House was spotless, yard was manicured, Bob was the perfect gentleman. Had a black bear visit the back yard! Super cool! Big Fork is a great small town. Make sure to get a burger at the A Bar just down the road. Only an hour to the entrance of Glacier State Park. Would definitely stay here when we go back. Thanks Bob.

Summary: We spent a week at this clean and functional home within a gorgeous setting. Place was stocked well with table essentials and recreational stuff for games floating and touring all of which were use for great enjoyment . When time and circumstance permit we’d love to come back for an extended stay. The owner was pleasant accommodating and responsive to all requests

Summary: Pictures are 100% accurate, beautiful property!! We really enjoyed sitting at the fire by the river at night. It is so very peaceful. We were also lucky enough to see deer and a black bear come through the yard!!

Summary: Beautiful house right along the Swan River. Perfect place for your family to enjoy hiking, fishing, floating the swan river or whatever you like to do.
