Positive: I was a bit apprehensive at first after reading all the negative reviews (from domestic tourists) so I booked only for one night but i don't know what people where complaining about. The little bamboo huts with attached bathroom and a little patio with hammock are nice and clean. Comfortable bed with mosquito net and a little fan which is necessary because it gets hot inside even a night. There is a restaurant and bicycle and snorkel mask rental.

Positive: The location was quiet and convenient. The room was basic but very good. The bed was very comfortable and clean. It was made even more amazing because of the delicious meals. It was lovely to stay here

Positive: Gorgeous place with its own beach & stunning sunsets each night. Pretty location among the palm trees & delicious home cooked meals daily. Very humble/rustic room which is what you’d expect on remote island. Shared bathroom option wasn’t much cheaper than bathroom option hut, probably should’ve taken that option. Cleaning of common shower could’ve been better & more hanging area for cloths in shower room & rooms. Difficult to charge devices in hut as PowerPoint up high in rooms & no shelf below to stow when charging really.Bed, futon, uncomfortable on cement base but as I said it’s remote island so can’t expect luxury at such prices in such places. Hosts could’ve been friendlier but feel they’re v busy!

Positive: Wow, what an amazing place elephant and four wise men is. Some places you go and somehow all the guests just come together. Shivanker is the perfect host, warm hearted and hospitable. He has created a little backpacker haven. His whole set up is geared toward community. very quiet and peaceful setting, yet a lovely communal area that brings everyone together. I totally understand why everyone loves it. We shared food, made friends and had a wonderful few days that felt like home. He even gave me boyfriend fishing tips and he caught a big fish that we all ate together!

Negative: That it is rustic means you have some compromises. But you will get behind it. The wifi was inconsistent though. And over here you have no cellar reception so be mindful.
Summary: Special shoutout to the grandma that runs the place along with her son! Hover around her for some crazy stories :)))
