Positive: This is a fantastic and beautiful property, Jean-Philippe and his wife were excellent hosts providing us with recommendations in the local area to visit and eat. You can buy wine stored in their own personal cave which was a touch making the stay even more special. We were even invited to join the hosts and their friends for apรฉritifโ€™s and a glass of wine to celebrate his wifeโ€™s birthday. The property has a wonderful pool to use as you wish, with showers and toilet access just next to it. The gite was spacious with ample room for us and a kitchen. Our daughter loved the games room where we played ping pong and games every night with her. The area is very close to Saumur along with other attractions such as local chateauโ€™s. The guidebook the hosts have created is fantastic and is well worth following. One of the best properties we have stayed at. 10 out of 10, we look forward to returning and recommending En Rou Libre to friends and family.

Positive: Beautiful accommodation and fantastic location with so much to explore and enjoy nearby. The hosts are absolutely wonderful, they were so welcoming and went above and beyond (even helping out, offering lifts and admin when we had car trouble!) The pool and games room were a huge hit. Such an enjoyable stay in a beautiful place.

Positive: I can't begin to describe how amazing this place is. From the communication before arrival to the actual stay itself, everything was perfect. The hosts are so friendly; we were given a lovely tour including the troglodytic caves and an explanation of the history of the site. It's FASCINATING! We were even told to help ourselves to the delicious fresh herbs growing in their garden and to use their washing line, if we needed. The gite itself was immaculately clean and well though-out. The bed was soooo comfortable and there was even a window looking into one of the cellars, complete with original wine-making machinery. The pool is a real highlight; heated, big enough (and deep enough) to properly swim in and with a toilet, shower and changing room. A perfect spot to laze around in the sun! The area is beautiful with a huge number of things to do. Gorgeous Saumur is only 10-15 minutes away and has everything you could need including some great restaurants. We are very much planning a return trip to En Rou Libre. There are lots of things in the area we still want to do and we have never stayed in such a perfect place. Thank-you to the family for such a wonderful holiday!
