Summary: We used the house as our home base as we travelled all over Nova Scotia - spending WAY too many hours in the car. Finally decided to take advantage of the view and the beach on our last full day. We were alone on the beach for most of the day - except for seabirds and the bald eagle who visited every day. Oh - and the neighbor and her dogs, Shultz and Fritz. The stars were spectacular at night. Home is well-outfitted for cooking with everything we needed. The fire pit was a fun place to gather at the end of the day. Highly recommend if you are staying near the north shore - a bit out of the way for other travels, such as Cape Breton and Bay of Fundy.

Summary: Wonderful week spent at this lovely cottage located on a private, sandy beach. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets overlooking the ocean at this quiet, peaceful setting. The very spacious home provided ample space for our family of 8 to enjoy some quality time together while still allowing some privacy when needed. It provided all of the conveniences of home in a comfortable, relaxed environment. We could not have asked for more. Some family members spent a day at Sherbrooke Village while others went shopping in nearby Antigonish and New Glasgow area. We were fortunate enough to see some wildlife during our stay including a deer in the front yard and some bunnies while out for our walks. It was truly the perfect getaway! The owner was very accommodating and friendly. We would love to spend more time there in the future. Thank you so much for helping us to make some wonderful memories we will treasure forever.

Summary: Three families went to Antigonish for my elder daughters graduation and stayed at this beautiful beachfront home! Spacious, clean and all the amenities were there! Private! Had cozy fires in gorgeous stone fireplace & played board games! It was the perfect setting and perfect getaway from an otherwise hectic life! We all hated to leave and are definitely going back soon! Owner was a treasure to deal with and extremely accommodating to our every need! Thank you!'

Summary: If you are looking to experience the beauty of Nova Scotia's beaches, look no further than this fantastic home. We rented this property during the first week of September, and I cannot say enough about what a remarkable week we had. Right from our first email, Mark was quick and excellent with communication, making the process of booking the cottage very easy. He is so personable and had everything well organized, providing all the details we needed prior to us arriving for our weeks stay. On the day of our arrival we were greeted with a lovely welcome basket, and a clean and lovely home! The house is so much more than a cottage - it is truly a home, with all the comforts. The rooms are large and well equipped with comfortable beds, the kitchen well equipped to make large and lovely meals with all the appliances one might require and then of course there are the views!! The location of the cottage is just amazing - the beach is right at your doorstep, and the views are brilliant every day. We live in Antigonish, and rented the cottage for a reunion, and as a local I was blown away by the beach. It is one of the most unique in the area, with a large sandy shore, and amazing sand banks close to the shore making it accessible regardless of the tides. Our local friends who visited were in awe of the beach, as many in the area are rocky or accessible only during low tide. We had young children who were able to safely play in the water the entire week. The large sandy beach was also excellent as it allowed lots of room for walks, kite flying and playing in the sand for times when we didn't want to swim. The house is perfect for everyone, but we found it just wonderful for those with young children, as the beach is just a 3 minute walk away making it easy for young children to come and go as they wish. The home has a lovely little library of books, games and even a telescope to add to your vacation. For those looking to explore the local area, the town of Antigonish is a quick 15 minute drive away making for easy access to grocery stores, pubs, restaurants and local arts and culture. It is also very convenient to take day trips to Cape Breton. There are numerous other great hikes and towns to discover local flavour. We cannot wait for a large group of friends to visit again, so we can once again return to this beautiful property. thank you Mark and Caroline for sharing your wonderful piece of paradise with us!!

Summary: We joined friends of ours for a week in Antigonish...there were 12 of us and the cottage housed all of us extremely well! The view was amazing as was the access to the beach!! Thank you for helping to making our trip out east so memorable.

Summary: A long drive for our family of 4 from Mississauga, Ontario, but well worth the effort to get there. Our collective jaw's dropped when we arrived at the property. This ocean front cottage is spectacular in every sense. The cottage itself is open, airy, spacious, modern and very well appointed. The pictures posted by the ower accurately depict the experience. All the comforts of home, but with stunning, open views of grassy dunes and the ocean. With the windows open, the hynotic surf rolling into shore provides peaceful and relaxing soundscape. The beach, a few short, private boardwalk steps from the cottage, is as nice as you can find in Nova Scotia. The sand is fine, soft and white and there is lots of it as there is span of approx 50 metres from the dunes to the water. The beach gently slopes into the ocean for quite a distance so you can wade out 50 metres or more and still stand with your head well above water. The ocean was reasonably warm during our stay so we swam and played in the surf every day. We went for long walks (a couple of KMs) on the beach and because the area is relatively secluded we rarely ran into anyone else. The folks we did meet, including the owner's neighbors, were all very welcoming. Located only a short drive (20 mins) from the quaint town of Antigonish, means easy access to a couple of major grocery stores, a liquor store, banks and restaurants etc. The property owner was honest and helpful in every sense of the word, making the rental process easy. We wish we had more time to spend and we wish we could keep this place a secret because it really is a hidden gem! We look forward to returning again!!

Summary: We arrived as 2 families of 4 (4 adults + 4 kids). Finding the cottage was a bit challenging at nighttime but we quickly realized how lucky we were to be able to vacation here. Cottage is a bit of a misnomer since you have all the comforts of home: stainless steel appliances, small kitchen appliances, barbecue, cutlery, dishes, a badminton set, board games and even a telescope to look at the stars. Having a separate sleeping space for the kids in the basement (they loved the bunk beds!) was great. There was a ton of space for the 8 of us as the cottage can actually sleep up to 14. We had to be careful with water usage since the cottage is on well water but the water pressure in the shower was great and the water was hot. By the way, there's also an outdoor shower which came in very handy. I can't say enough about the beach. The sand was fine; the water was relatively warm and there is shallow entry so it is safe for young children. On top of all that, it was virtually a private beach. We often had the beach to ourselves! It's located about 25 minutes from the nearest town - Antigonish so if you are looking for a quiet getaway where you can relax on a beautiful beach, this is ideal. We took a day trip to the Cabot Trail (fantastic views) but this was a long day trip (3 hours each way). This well-equipped cottage is perfect for those who want to just enjoy the ocean and the beach in complete comfort.
