3 Bedroom House in Fox Lake

Amenities include a brand new 600 square foot deck with unobstructed views of the Fox Chain O' Lakes for the grill-master to enjoy. Only 25 steps away from the home are 2 private 24' docks for those evenings when you want to catch the moonlight off of the water or fish. With 175 feet of private waterfront, our floor-to-ceiling bay window will lend a stunning lake view and has built-in bench seating surrounding a custom-built table designed to accommodate 8 people with 4 additional counter stools that surround the kitchen island.
We have a completely renovated, raised ranch-style home with an open concept including an updated kitchen (with all the amenities) and living room. The master bedroom features a brand-new king bedroom suite with walk-in closet (smart TV). The second bedroom has a queen bed with nightstand and a chair 1/2 twin sleeper featuring direct lake views out of 5 of 7 windows (smart TV). The main floor also has a remodeled bathroom with shower. Also remodeled is our lower-level, featuring a sectional sleeper, a bedroom cove with 2 twin beds accompanied by a trundle unit, updated second bathroom with shower, and a laundry room.
Take a paddle on 1 of 2 kayaks (included) or enjoy conversation around the nice firepit to talk about your memorable day on the lake or your activities in downtown Fox Lake which is only a half-mile away! We have plenty of space in the back yard to set up for a corn-hole tournament or other outdoor activities to keep you outdoors when you are not on the lake.
Summer fun: You will be a 25-minute drive to 6 flags or spend the day at the beautiful Chain O' Lakes State Park which is only an 8-minute drive. The home is also in close proximity to a beach with a park for the kiddos! Head downtown and grab an ice cream, take in a movie at Fox Lake theatre, or browse the local shops.
Winter fun: Whether its snow skiing at Wilmot Mountain which is only a 12 minute drive, Snowmobiling, or Ice Fishing, there are plenty of memories to make!
The Chain O'Lakes, or simply "The Chain", is a waterway system composed of 15 lakes connected by the Fox River and man-made channels. Encompassing more than 7,100 acres of water, 488 miles of shoreline and 45 miles of river. There are too many restaurants to mention with boat access located on the Chain however we are very close to El Puerto Mexican Restaurant which is a local favorite. Enjoy Blarney's Island which feature a restaurant, bar, and live entertainment daily in the summer and only accessible by boat!

Summary: Really great location on the lake. The neighborhood is a little sketchy but not dangerous or anything like that. The property is as advertised, it's a lake house vacation home in Fox Lake. The host was awesome and communicated well, lots of amenities, above and beyond what you would normally get with most hosts. I really loved the views and outdoor space. The kids loved the entertainment systems, TVs everywhere in the house. Beds were very comfy and the house was very clean. Thanks for letting us stay in your amazing lake house.

Summary: Had a wonderful time at this property over President's Day weekend. It was cozy and well-appointed, and the view is amazing, even if it was mostly a snowy frozen lake! We got a nice sunset the last evening. We were provided many amenities like coffee and some snacks, and we had what we needed in the kitchen to make yummy meals. The beds and pillows were great, and the bathrooms were nice. The ice maker line might have been frozen, but there were ice cube trays and it was fine. Having the big brita dispenser in the refrigerator was perfect, too.Thanks for having us!

Summary: We were so grateful to have such a convenient and well supplied home for our family to stay in. Summary: Our family gathered in this lovely home. It is the best VBRO that we have stayed in! The place was clean and fully stocked with such great things. It felt like we were staying with relatives rather than in a rental home. The kitchen has all of the pots, pans, silverware, plates, spices, coffee, and snacks that you could want. And the bathrooms have all the things that you might forget.And so many activities to do. It was winter time so we could not take advantage of the kayaks on the lake. But the jigsaw puzzles and the games that were available really helped us during our times of being in the house.

Summary: We truly enjoyed our five night stay at this Chain O'Lakes jewel. Everything was perfect, from the well-appointed kitchen to the corn hole pitch and the lovely outdoor living room complete with net curtains to keep the bugs at bay. There were so many little extra touches that made the stay even more memorable. Plus we had a blast puttering around in the TriToon. Five stars all the way!

Summary: The property was in very good shape and very well equipped. As advertised, right on the lake and in the center of Fox Lake recreation region. Stores and dining within short drive or walk. Nearby public park that features summer Friday concert series. We had a great time evenings by the fire pit, picking dinner options, taking a boat out for a day. We had 6 adults total for most of the 10 days we were there, and didn't feel crowded. Easy parking right outside for 3 cars, a 4th would fit too. Kitchen is well equipped you shouldn't need to bring anything, outdoor gas grill. Beach towels, some outdoor toys, kayaks, outdoor and indoor board games. We brought our own firewood, but there was some there. Nice outdoor porch sitting and dining area. For locals, the Chicago Metra train stop is 1/2 mile away, it made getting all of us there easier.
