6 Bedroom House in New Fairfield

There are many great homes you can rent but if the weather turns are there enough things to do to occupy your guests? Here your plan B is covered. Candlewood Isle is located 80 minutes from Manhattan and sits in the middle of Candlewood Lake which is 11 miles long. Our home is on the top of a ridge overlooking the lake on a dead-end road. The house is not lakefront, however, it is a 1-minute drive to the clubhouse beach. Or a short walk. This home is one of the most private homes on the whole Island. The house features everything you could ever want to do for your vacation, even if it rains the home offers plenty of features to keep you occupied. You can even still have an outside BBQ with our huge covered patio under the deck. There is a pool table, ping pong table, shuffleboard table, 3 bars (2 inside) (and one outside) a movie theatre that converts to a disco, a music studio, and for those that don't play an instrument, there is a professional karaoke system that provides hours of fun. The home has two wood-burning fireplaces, a 1,600 sq foot deck with two top-of-the-line Weber grills & a smoker. There is a nice flat yard as well as a fire pit and patio/bar in the back with a Bluetooth audio system The home has 5 smart TVs as well as audio systems throughout the home inside and out. It also has a hot tub that seats 7 people on the deck overlooking the lake. NOTE: The home is built as 6 bedrooms, however, two of those rooms have been converted into a theatre and the other a music studio. You may have these rooms set up as bedrooms if the current sleeping arrangements don't meet your needs, the theatre has a king sleeper sofa however the house can sleep 12 without utilizing these rooms.
Should you want to host a larger party or event we must discuss the event and how many people you expect. There are additional fees for events or anyone else coming to the home. Please let us know this upon booking. All guests must be cleared through the gate guard and be on the guest list. The property is video-monitored 24/7 from the outside. Any violations of the rules you will be asked to leave the property and lose your fees. Remember you are renting a home, not a hotel room please treat it as you would treat your own. Summary: We stayed for a birthday weekend with a few other couples and had a great time. There is plenty of space for everyone to spread out and each 'area' of the house is incredibly comfortable (especially the movie theater). If you need anything there are plenty of stores close by and the area is very safe. Overall, no complaints and would recommend to anyone looking for a getaway.

Summary: We had a small wedding with 16 guests and this was the perfect property for it! It had everything we needed and offered a lot of unique features that most properties don’t have. We had the best wedding weekend here and are so thankful!

Summary: Very large house just like the photos. Host is present and responsive. We had the entire property to ourselves. Nice yard for some whiffle ball and outdoor activities. Swimming is possible at the public lake access which is about a mile away or so. Overall, a very nice stay at a very nice property. We were 10 adults (friends weekend) and fit just fine.

Summary: 11 of us stayed at this wonderful house for a bachelor party. Host was amazing and so accommodating! House was clean and had everything we needed and more. Music studio, theater/night club, game room, tv room, bed rooms, state of the art kitchen, hot tub and lots of our door space with views over looking the lake. Amazing stay, we’d love to go back soon!

Summary: Celebrated my dad’s 96th birthday! House was big enough to accommodate everyone’s needs. Chef’s kitchen and entire house well equipped for feeding and caring for a large group! Rain day filled with lots of activity—billiards, shuffle board, large screen theatre all used. Property manager very responsive to questions and needs. Highly recommend for a party of any kind.

Summary: We had three generations, ages 8-80, gather for a few days in Peter's exceptional home. The lake is gorgeous, the community has great amenities, and the home is huge and filled with fun. Karaoke, movies, games, and plenty of space to spread out (important for our group and helpful on a rainy day). Only wish we had more time and definitely hope to return!

Summary: We stayed here for my friend's low-key bachelorette party. Peter was a great and responsive host, and the property was wonderful. We sang lots of karaoke and enjoyed cocktails on the large deck with beautiful views. Access to the community beach club was a big plus. Everyone had a great time and was really impressed with this property. Highly recommend it!
