Positive: Location was close to where our children live in Avalon Park
Negative: The property needs to be better maintained. When we arrived to pull back the heavy comforter, there was hair all over the sheets. I believe they probably changed the sheets, but there was so much hair in the heavy comforter that it came off on the sheets . A lighter blanket that can be washed with new guests would be better. The bed also needs a waterproof cover to cover the mattress that is stained. We purchased one that night and put it on the bed so we could sleep. We did bring it home with us. Half of the lights in the kitchen were out my husband bought lightbulbs at target that night so we could see in the kitchen. We were missing remotes for the TV in the living room and the TV in the bedroom. The property was advertised as having two pools. There is a community pool with a playground, but no fob is provided to enter. We noted this in our request through Booking.com, but it was not addressed. We were a little concerned before we moved in and questioned about turning the heating on for an additional cost for the pool and hot tub. We were informed the heater was broken and it could not be done. We decided to stay with a rental anyways because of the location don’t really understand why the heater for the hot tub was not turned on. I understand that it was really cold but other rentals will heat a hot tub in cold weather and not the pool. if it’s advertised with a pool and a hot tub also in the listing it says fitness center there is no fitness center on site. The washing machine had trouble finishing the spin cycle. We were able to get through it to the last day when it would not spin at allThe refrigerator was leaking and the dishwasher also leaked some but worked. We did try to call when we moved in with our concerns, no one answered our messages at first I did get someone on the phone who told me to make my request in Booking.com with my concerns after that they did bring remotes to the house. This house needs repairs to make it a better rental.
