Rare LAKEFRONT cottage with 2 kayaks, 2 paddleboards, large 4 person canoe, hot tub and 2 adult size bikes. Cottage fully renovated in 2019: new furnishings, new Serta Black mattresses, new dock and boathouse, excellent air conditioning, full wrap-around screened lanai for balmy breezy evenings. Direct access to a spring-fed lake means your vacation starts in your backyard! Note: max guests = 4; No Guests of Guests (meaning, no local visitors even for day use unless with explicit approval by owners).
Imagine taking a quiet paddle around a serene lake with bald eagles and pelicans diving for fish; herons and egrets gracefully stalking the shorelines; canoeing at dusk casting for dinner; roasting S'mores at your lakeside fire pit; playing cards/board games or reading a book in a wrap-around screened lanai with lakeview. This is more than a "lake view" - this is FAMILY FUN lake enjoyment without the risky crowds and need for social distancing. Owner is RN and fastidious about disinfection! Additionally, new washer/dryer have SANITIZE settings.
YOU can have a dream vacation - close to Orlando attractions such as Universal Studios, Disney Parks, LEGOLAND, I-Drive shopping, Clermont Olympic Training Center, cycling, world-class golfing and more. A hidden gem is the Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive and trails (check hours, currently open weekends and holidays only)-- rated 3rd nationally for birding, but other wildlife like bobcat and gators make LAWD home too.
Walking distance to Internationally acclaimed Montverde Academy - monthly/seasonal rental discount available. MANY NEW RESTAURANTS IN MONTVERDE: Cal's Kitchen (delectable Italian and pizza), Willie's BBQ, and Sweet and Sassy Place (real ice cream, homemade candies and empanadas); The View at National Clermont - a driving range (at Sanctuary Ridge Golf Course - minutes away), Plus, many wonderful restaurants in both nearby Winter Garden and downtown Clermont.

CLEANING / DISINFECTION PRACTICES: The screened in wrap-around lanai means we can air everything out while we do a thorough cleaning/sanitizing.
SECURITY CAMERAS: We have one outdoor actively recording camera overlooking the front driveway towards the street that records video. There is a second outdoor actively recording camera that aims at the dock structure and kayak/paddleboard rack that records video. We use this camera to monitor the watersports equipment only (to assure equipment is secure). This camera CAN NOT view the hot tub, deck or anywhere towards the house past the beach.

Summary: Me and my husband needed a nice long weekend getaway and the lakehouse was perfect. Super quiet and so comfortable, and the bed and pillows are excellent! The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet so don’t come here looking to party, but come to relax. It’s stocked with everything you need and the hosts Kelly and Gary were so kind and welcoming! The only thing I would watch out for is the driveway is steep so if you’re a nervous driver, just stick to parking on the road. Willie’s Ribs which was recommended and very close to the house was excellent, and a lovely little drive to LunaSea Farms nearby lets you pet llamas and alpacas. We would absolutely stay here again and again!!

Summary: We loved our stay at this absolutely beautiful lakeview home! It looks exactly as pictured. The location was perfect. It's so cute, quiet, and in a walkable neighborhood.This home was also impeccably clean and well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our vacation. The lake view from this home's balcony and hot tub was absolutely breathtaking, beautiful, and serene. There was so many things that kept us entertained at this property that we never left it while vacationing there.The host (Gary and Kelly), were incredibly nice and helpful throughout our stay. They offered to allow us to check in early if needed and to checkout later if needed. We took one of their canoes on the lake and had trouble getting it back to the lakehouse after experiencing high winds. We texted Gary of our issue getting the canoe back to the property. He responded back very quickly. Gary and Kelly happily came and returned the canoe back to the property.Thanks again Gary and Kelly for being warm-hearted people and for providing a wonderful place to stay. We plan to stay at this rental again, and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Summary: It’s hard to describe how great our week at the Buoy Bungalow was! I’m not sure if the listing on VRBO does an adequate job of describing how nice this place is. Kelly and Gary have thought of everything and are wonderful hosts. If you want to waterski, you won’t find a better place to stay. One of the highlights of every day was seeing Gary pull the boat up to the dock to take me skiing!

Summary: we went there for a long weekend on our 40th wedding anniversary to fish. The only downfall was the fish weren’t biting so we didn’t get much fishing, but it was relaxing and quiet and peaceful.

Summary: The Buoy Bungalow on Lake Florence is a gem just outside the hustle and bustle of Orlando. My wife and I stayed during the holidays and the hosts made the house extra special with holiday decorations and treats. The house has all you need for a short or long stay. I am a light sleeper and the quiet neighborhood and comfortable king size bed allowed for great rest after long days of touristing. The views from the living spaces and outdoor spaces elevated above Lake Florence are stunning and worth the little extra drive if your focus is the Orlando area. The private hot tub was a big draw for my wife and I and it was hot, clean and the jets were perfect. I don’t usually stay in the same place because I like variety but I would consider staying here again. Thank you Kelly & Gary for making our stay special
