FOR FUN AT CHITTENANGO FALLS: Chittenango Falls State Park is a 193-acre (0.78 km2) state park located in Madison County, New York, east of Cazenovia Lake. The park features a 167-foot (51 m) waterfall that cascades over roughly 400-million-year-old bedrock. At the bottom of the falls the meandering Chittenango Creek flows underneath a wooden bridge. The park offers a variety of activities including picnic tables with pavilions, a playground, a nature trail, hiking, and fishing. Sit on one of the many wooden park benches under ancient shade maples. Wade in Chittenango Creek upstream and downstream of Chittenango Falls. Look over the edge! Hike to top of Cazenovia Ski Club for an al fresco picnic and spectacular views. Rent some of my kayaks and go paddle around Cazenovia Lake.

Summary: We rented this house to host our wedding party for the weekend and to have a place to hang out after the reception was over. The house and the property are perfect for wedding parties. Loft A is huge and was used by the bride and bridesmaids to get ready for the ceremony. We chose not to see each other the day of the wedding before the ceremony and Loft A was the perfect place for the bride to 'hide'. Loft B was used by the groom and groomsmen to get ready. The house itself was very clean and the 5 bedrooms (and Loft C) were used for the rest of the wedding party. The backyard is a great hangout spot. Great patio, amazing view, pool, fire pit and a huge yard for games. Chittenango Falls is right across the street! Go see it, it is really cool! The owner Paul was very friendly and helpful. When we first arrived the AC was not working in Loft A and he had it fixed within a few hours. All that being said, there were a few quirks to the house. 1. Parking was a bit restricted. Paul did not want the driveway blocked up and no lawn parking. We were able to fit about 10 cars at the house using several of the garage spaces. He also allowed us to park on the road directly in front of the house fitting about 5 or 6 cars. 2. This is stated in the listing, but be aware the initial price of the house is only for 16 people, even though it lists it can sleep 26. We were charged $40 per person per night for the extra guests. Paul did allow people to set up tents and camp in the yard and we were charged an extra $10 per person per night for the campers. 3. There are 2 outdoor dogs and 2 outdoor cats on the property. Paul will feed them if you wish, but you can chose to feed them yourself if you want more privacy. You also have to make sure they don't get in the house or on the patio and are put in their pen at night. Not a huge deal, but just something I would prefer not to worry about when renting a house. 4. Paul offered to build a large bonfire for an extra $25. When we arrived there were 4 small wet logs in the fire pit. Luckily, we brought our own wood and built a small fire. 5. Keep track of the room keys! We accidentally lost one and were charged an extra $10. Also, if you have hair dye, don't use the towels! They will stain! We had to pay for a few towels and pillowcases. These were, of course, our fault and we were charged reasonably. All in all a great house for hosting a large amount of people. Would probably rent it again.
