Positive: Spent a few days here, the girls were fabulous and helped arrange a number of activities nearby including weaving and papermaking. The town has a great vibe and worth spending a few days here as close to many spots

Positive: The house has been beautifully restored and includes a lot of retro touches in the furnishings and decorative items. This made it feel very warm, welcoming, and special. It was also wonderful to flick through the book detailing the renovation processes. Lena was such a great host and kindly provided dinner options for us also. We felt so relaxed as we slept, with the soundtrack of rain falling on the roof and frogs outside. A special shout out about the toilet door, which reminded us of a ninja trick house. I want one at our house.

Negative: We loved everything and didn't want to leave.

Positive: Photos don't do this place justice! It's really stunning and a wonderful experience to stay in a traditional home. Incredibly clean, very well fit out, comfortable (it was cold in the house as a traditional home but heating is avail). Host really responsive and helpful. Would return.

Positive: Loved staying here. Leina is a beautiful host and Asako is a wonderful bartender. They just made me feel so welcome and I was genuinely sad to leave

Negative: Nothing - will just say it's much easier to get here with a car though

Positive: A beautifully kept Ryokan with the charme of tradition and the comfort of a modern guest house. We enjoyed every minute, and our host was very helpful and lovely! A great region to explore, especially Yusuhara with Kengo Kuma Architecture and a beautiful setting in mountainous landscape.
