Todd, NC - This cozy log cabin comes quaintly furnished with brand new furniture and is conveniently located just off scenic Hwy 194S on a quiet lane. Close to Boone, West Jefferson, Todd and the Blue Ridge Parkway, you can hike or take a walk with your dog directly from the front door. The cabin is tastefully decorated in warm mountain decor.
The main living area includes a stone gas fireplace for cozying on those cool Carolina Mountain evenings, and a dining/kitchen combo fully equipped with everything you need to prepare that special meal for your significant other. A bedroom with comfy new king sized log bed and a bath are also on this level. Upstairs is another bedroom with king bed and bath along with a loft area that offers a king sleeper sofa for extra sleeping. With central heat and air conditioning there's no need to worry about the weather.
Out back, you're sure to enjoy the screened in porch with hot tub and seating area for reading. This creekfront retreat is like being in your own little state park. If a peaceful, quiet and beautiful setting is what you are looking for, this cabin is your best choice. Allows small pets and provides a wonderful, fenced area for children and pets.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was beautiful. My wife and I brought two of our our dogs. The area was fenced in, so they were able to enjoy the outside. The hot tub was well-maintained and relaxing. We were only about 25 minutes from Boone, so we traveled there and enjoyed the downtown and had a great dinner. I would highly recommend staying here.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After staying here several times in the past and having an excellent experience- this time was not nearly as good. Overall property was not clean at all and included cobwebs everywhere and unclean toilets. Many of the amenities such as glasses and bowls were either cracked or just not there. Again, had numerous great stays at this property. Unfortunately this was not one of them. Property Management group was exceptional as always.

Summary: This is our second stay at this charming log cabin. We come up to visit our son and this spot is perfect. We love the two porches, especially the screened porch which overlooks the creek, and we often see deer strolling through the woods. The cabin has everything you need, including very comfortable beds!

Only a few recommendations: Need more bowls(4), wine glasses(3), and plates(4). Need a trash can upstairs. Dryer sounds horrible but seemed to work on. Dishwasher only functions on 1-2 settings. Radio would turn itself on mid day(maybe a timer issue but we couldn't figure out how to change it). Customers need to be encouraged to use their own service for music, as no radio stations come in clearly. We visited a month after the hurricane and there was a tree still leaning in the back yard. Would suggest a good leaf blowing prior to renters coming in so pathways are clearer to see, lots of fall risks. Upstairs is very nice. Downstairs is very small and tight but manageable. I would not suggest more than 4 people and that's tight.
