Summary: Mary and Dan were the perfect hosts. They gave us all the privacy we could have wanted. The neighborhood was extremely quiet for being right on the beach. They had everything you would need for a day at the beach. Everything was supplied for you to use. The property was done up beautifly with plants, flowers, palm trees, and lawn decor. Right down to lights at night highlighting everything. They were very knowledgeable about the island if you had questions about the area. It was cozy and comfortable and we would definetly stay there again. Between the host and the area I would give this a 10 out of 10. Thank you so much for having us as your guests in your cottage and being the perfect hosts. Until next time

Summary: This place is awesome! Mary and Dan are truly good people. They have everything you will need to take to the beach . And the outside living is beautiful and relaxing. Would definitely stay here if you get a chance! I will be back😎

Summary: I wasn’t sure how we would enjoy staying at a place with owners living above us. I was looking for a private place for us. But because of the great reviews and the flexibility of the dates we needed, we went this route. I am SO glad we did! The property is beautiful, and Dan and Mary are so chill and welcoming and make you feel like long time friends when you meet them, and are available if you need anything! They left us to ourselves and gave us whatever space we wanted to do our planned things. But I also wish we had more time to just visit and learn from them, because they are full of knowledge and information and just a blessing to be around! Mary is incredibly talented and precious, and showed us some of the projects she works on. I am so glad I was able to purchase and take some of her “beach art” home with us to remember! I truly think I would love to be her friend and spend more time with her if we lived there. :) <3 I highly recommend their place. It truly is a quick walk to the beach, and it is a quiet neighborhood away from other rentals where there are more people and commotion. I will miss our time there and it has brought such wonderful memories for my husband and I as we celebrated our 30th anniversary there. I do think it would feel a bit small for three adults, but a child would be ok, since it’s a studio apartment. Besides that, it is decorated so adorable and has everything you could want or need! Thank you, Grateful Beach for such a great first experience and visit to Fort Myers Beach!

Summary: This was my first solo vacation and I was a bit apprehensive about finding a place to stay where I would feel safe, be close to the beach, and have access to transportation because I didn't want to rent a car. I read the wonderful reviews and decided to take a chance. It truly exceeded my expectations! It was clean, private, (but close to everything!) beautifully appointed, and had everything I needed to enjoy the beach provided for me! All I had to do was cross the street and I had my toes in the sand. Mary and Dan are gracious and friendly hosts with extensive knowledge about the island and it's offerings. It was my own little 'slice of paradise' and I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else when returning to the area.

Summary: My wife & I loved everything about this place. Yes it is small but so much nicer than a hotel room of comparable price. It is artfully and tastefully decorated inside and out. The landscaping is impeccable and you feel guilty about parking on the lawn. We met Dan at checkin. He gave us the tour and even walked us to the beach just a few hundred yards away. This is a perfect place for a couple looking for a budget friendly beach getaway!

Summary: Where do I even begin? This cute and cozy place was the perfect home away from home with the perfect hosts. So welcoming and loads of great info and recommendations Mary was eager to share. In particular, I enjoyed Pinchers (try the grilled shrimp!), Doc Ford's, The Island Pancake House, and my dolphin and shell cruise with Good Time Charters (all were recommondations from Mary). There were so many great decorations, both indoors and outside, that every day, I kept discovering new things I hadn't noticed before! I loved the neighborhood and the short 1-2 block walk to the beach. Dan and Mary had everything you could imagine for your trip to the beach...chairs, beach towels, beach toys, water bottles, a cooler with ice and drinks if you want them, and a wagon to pull it all in. To say I was impressed would be an understatement. They had perfect reviews and I found it to be true. It was so much better than the high-rise condos on the beach. All the personal touches really make the difference and i appreciated each one. They want you to feel right at home and I sure did! I hope to go back one day.

Summary: My (now) husband and I were looking for a place to stay for a few days at our favorite place, Ft Myers Beach, and we came across Dan and Mary’s adorable little cottage! It was in the perfect location, just a short 2 minute walk to the beach. Plenty of privacy and everything you could need and more right at the location. Well stocked and very clean. We got married right on the beach at sunset on May 3rd. We also are BIG shellers so that’s the perfect spot! We also went down to Goodland about and hour south and took a shell tour from Treasure Seekers. Well worth the trip if you love shelling as much as we do. We can’t thank our hosts enough for helping to make our little getaway just as we imagined. We didn’t want to leave!
