Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life at this newly renovated, quaint lake house situated on East Bass Lake in Gwinn, MI. Enjoy the water with 2 paddle boards and 5 kayaks. In the evening you can play cards or board games, watch movies, surf the internet, relax while watching the sunset from the gazebo, and make s'mores at the fire pit. Our cottage is perfectly set-up for large gathering, boasting 5 bedrooms each with a beautiful view of the lake. The house is situated on a peninsula, so you have breathtaking views and water access on both sides of the cabin. This family retreat is fully furnished with linens, towels, kitchenware, cooking spices, water toys, bicycles, and cards/board games for everyone. We are located less than 30 minutes from Marquette, Northern Michigan University, Lake Superior theater, and Marquette Mountain ski area. This is a perfect location for a family vacation! Tahquemenon Falls, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Seney Wildlife Refuge, Porcupine Mountain State Park, Isle Royale, and Mackinaw Island are all within a few hours drive. Marquette County has become a destination for mountain biking and cross-country skiing. This lake house is an ideal summer getaway for sightseeing, water-sports, golf, boating, fishing, biking, and hiking. Our cabin is pet-friendly allowing 1 small pet under 50 lbs. with a $100 pet fee paid at the time of booking.

Summary: The property worked great for our snowmobile group. The host was amazing and responded to our last minute request to stay and also made arrangements for parking our trucks and trailers nearby in a secure area. The sleeping accommodations met our needs, although ttwo of the rooms lacked good heating for winter lodging

Summary: We stayed in this house during the winter and it was spectacular! We were able to ice skate on the frozen lake and drink hot chocolate by the fire place. But the house has everything you need for the summer! It is also very well stocked if you like to cook. The house was absolutely perfect for our family of 8! Looking forward to coming next summer!

Summary: This place was amazing with the water on both sides. It offered something for everyone in our group kyaking, fishing, bonfires. Parking was a bit tight as we had four trucks and trailers with side by sides but we were able to make it work. We had a wonderful time riding the trails during the day and hanging out playing cards and sitting around the campfire at night. Would love to come back during the summer and again next fall. a great hangout spot

Summary: We rented this lake house for a visit to my father's childhood home in Sagola. Not much is close to Sagola so we were happy to find a spacious home on the lake that could accommodate our family of 8 adults. Our GPS got confused and we were a bit lost on the way, but our host was incredibly helpful and gave us step by step directions to find the home. It was easy to access and to unload our belongings. The home listing is accurate and the photos are current. The views are amazing! It was also very quiet as the home is at the end of a road and the neighbors are not too close; it felt very private. There are some odd nuances like having to make the beds upon arrival (no idea why sheets are not on the beds), and a pretty long list of clean up upon departure. This home is very likely not often rented and is used more as a family home in which guests would not mind making beds, stripping beds, putting laundry into bags and clearing trash for the host. The cleaning fee is marginal for the size of the property, so it was not much of an imposition. Those nuances aside, this place is very comfortable and private and has beautiful views. There are gas and grocery options within a short drive, so it is not too remote either. I would recommend this lake house to others who need a place to stay in this part of the Upper Peninsula.

Summary: We loved this house. It was lovely, clean, comfortable, in a quiet location on a beautiful lake. We enjoyed fishing in the lake. The house is close enough to Marquette that we were able to enjoy the Pictured Rocks boat tour and take advantage of dinners in some of the great restaurants in Marquette. Wonderful vacation!

Summary: Our family found ourselves wanting to stay and enjoy the property more and it’s picturesque beauty. Originally we had planned to sight see the whole time and we were glad to enjoy the home half of our stay. Also, we were very impressed we could view the Northern lights on our last night. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the master bedroom’s views and will definitely come back to stay here! It was such a treat to have a view of the lake feol eaxh room in the house.

Summary: This home was a wonderful stay for an extended family vacation. The home was spacious and well stocked. The outside area was wonderful. Our only negative feedback was regarding the lake, this is more of a fishing lake than a water sports lake in our opinion, and our boat was too large for this lake. Not the fault of the owners and we were able to enjoy their pontoon for the week which was very nice! However we would not bring our boat back to this location. Otherwise the stay was perfect!

Summary: Great location. Lovely home. Many more amenities than I expected. Saw the Northern Lights for the first time in my life. Kids loved the water and kayaks. Larry’s store and the bait shop were convenient and helpful. Could have used hand rails on steps and front door.
