Sleeps 10 ~ 3 Bedrooms/ 2.5 Baths: (2) King, (1) Queen beds, (1) Set of Bunks, (1) Daybed with trundle and futons. WiFi internet. Large flat screen TV in LR with DVD theater sound system. TV's have Roku with Spectrum Cable. Well equipped kitchen with large open counter w/bar stools. Dining room has a large six chair table. Open living area has plenty of seating with full couch and three singles. Natural oak tree shaded Carolina room on front of home with additional table and chairs. Master bath has a Jacuzzi tub and both levels have decking to enjoy the outdoors. Garage with ping pong table. Additional refrigerator located in ground floor laundry room. Outdoor shower, outdoor gas BBQ grill.
Home is less than one block from the ocean with direct beach handicap access at the end of the street. Right around the corner just a block away is the Oak Island Pier that offers fishing and a tackle/gift shop. Seaside restaurants, Lazy Turtle, Ruby's Coffeeshop and Koko Cabana, are at the end of our street as well! << NO PETS ALLOWED. Summary: My family and friends had a wonderful long weekend in OKI. The property was spacious and met all our needs. The easy favorite spot for adults and teens alike was the garage with the ping pong table! The sunroom and decks were also favorite spots. We loved being a short walk from the beach which meant everyone could come and go as they pleased. The early October weather couldn't have been more beautiful. We enjoyed spending our days on the beach and our evenings fishing on the pier, chasing crabs on the beach and of course playing ping pong in the garage. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay. The property was as described and just a short walk to the beach/pier. The home is well maintained and stocked with all the necessities, which made our stay comfortable and fun. Summary: This is my family’s second time at this house, and it’s absolutely perfect for our group of four adults and two children! We had additional family members (two adults, two children) staying in a condo nearby and there was more than enough room in common areas for us all to dine and unwind together each evening! We very much enjoyed the screened in patio. The location is unbeatable, just a short walk from the beach, Oak Island pier, Ruby’s Coffee, Koko Cabana restaurant, and Swain’s Seafood restaurant (we enjoyed them all)! The beach is beautiful and was never crowded during our time on the island. Southport is a short drive away and we enjoyed the shopping, restaurants, and waterfront park in this quaint, friendly town. The Whites are great hosts and we once again enjoyed their lovely home! Can’t wait to come back! 😊

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay. This property is in the perfect location. Steps away from the beach access and a short drive to everything you need. Also, it accommodates 4 adults well, was clean and comfortable as well. Perfect house in which we’ll use again next year.

Summary: Had a great time. The house was perfect. It even smelled good! Love the sun porch, the weather was amazing. We went to sweet treats for ice cream, delicious. Also Castcucci's for honestly the best italian food ever! Location to beach is literally 5 min walk. Easy beach acces too! Would love to stay here again.

Summary: The 1st floor has the washer/dryer and 2nd refrigerator. In the garage is the ping pong table and beach items, ie, chairs. No bathroom on this level. The 2nd floor bedroom was the master with a hallway to adjoining bathroom--with clean and comfortable King size bed. The two bedrooms on 3rd floor where clean and the beds comfortable--both share the hall bathroom. One bedroom has a King bed, the other bedroom has two bunk beds and a queen size bed. Walking distance to beach--where the ocean waters were warm and calm. Find a spot under the fishing pier and you won't need to haul a beach umbrella, etc...the pier provides plenty of shade and with close access to the local restaurant for a cold drink or bite to eat. Outside is a hose to wash off beach sand and beach chairs, etc. Neighborhood was peaceful and quiet; grocery stores and restaurants located a short drive away. All in all, it was an enjoyable time that went too fast!

Summary: The White’s home had the perfect layout for our family consisting of four adults and two children. We couldn’t ask for a better location, a quick walk down the block to the beach, Oak Island Pier, adorable Ruby’s Coffee Shop, and Koko Cabana restaurant. My oldest daughter (4 years old) and I enjoyed walking to the coffee shop each morning and sitting on the pier to enjoy our treats. We spent each day at the beautiful beach and enjoyed a drive in the evenings to nearby Southport for dinners (Fishy Fishy, and the Southport Smokehouse were awesome). We also loved the waterfront park in Southport and swinging on the swings. To end each evening, we enjoyed walking down the pier to watch the sunset. The White’s house was well stocked with the comforts of home, and we enjoyed grilling some steaks, burgers, and hot dogs on the grill when we felt like eating in. The screened in porch (and outdoor porch) were great at night and we enjoyed breakfast there as well. Overall, it was a quintessential family beach vacation and the White’s house was just perfect!

Summary: This is our second year staying at “A Hideaway in Paradise” as a family and it did not disappoint. The location to the beach is great and a quick easy walk. The house has all the amenities you need for a beach vacation, whether it be to relax in the sunroom or pack up the beach card for a fun day on the beach.Brenda is a great host and makes sure you feel at home.
