The Casa Mila in Nerja in the urbanization "Ladera del Mar" is rented for the first time in the 2015th The apartment was completely renovated and has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and a large living room with dining area. All rooms have modern furnishings. The 30 square meter terrace offers a wonderful sea view and is equipped with seating for 6 and 4 sun loungers. Through the south the terrace you have sun all day! The apartment is in a quiet area in one of the most popular resort settlements (Ladera del Mar) of Nerja. The downtown area is accessible by car in 5 minutes. In just a few minutes away (about 300 m) you are at one of several beaches. Even the communal pool with ample sun beds and umbrellas can be reached on foot in a few minutes.

Summary: Google Maps could not locate the address given and the instructions provided were worthless. (Afterwards we discovered - on our own - that it would have been better to plug precisely “Urbanizacion Ladera del Mar” into the GPS. “Calle Pasillo Ladera Andaluz No.3” is of no help with GPS (that information is what you need to find the set of step once you’re in the complex) and “Casa Mila” is simply what the owners named their home. It means nothing to GPS or to the locals. Since the address given left us confused, we phoned the local contact included with the instructions. However, despite what our hosts had written, this person only speaks Spanish. Thanks to our translating app, we got help from random local residents and realized we were on the wrong side of town. We needed to be nearer the marina. We drove into the Ladera Del Mar Apartments but missed the apartment for two reasons: 1st, the instructions said to look for two parking lots. (There are no parking lots. Rather, there is parking on both sides of a narrow road.); 2nd, the apartment was 65 steps up the hill from the road. (There was NO mention of any steps. My wife figured out where the apartment was - no thanks to the directions provided.) All of this could have been rectified with better instructions, communication, and an English speaking contact. Also, at another of our condo stays we will be meeting someone at a restaurant who will escort us to the location. This should have been provided here and all would have been well. After a very frustrating nightmare of finding the apartment we were grateful that it was quite lovely, neat and clean. The view from the terrace is worth every one of the 65 steps. The AC worked perfectly as did the dishwasher. The furnishings are comfortable and had all the essential flatware, dishes and pans. Just a few more concerns: 1-The clothes washer has instructions taped onto the back of the bathroom door but were in German. 2-There is no clothes dryer. 3-The Television has three remotes with no instructions and when we managed to turn it on, all but two channels were in German. 4-This place is not in town. To go to a restaurant or store or anywhere you need to drive and 5-the parking is not ideal.

Summary: Dear Ollie and Iris, in Casa Mila enjoyed a great holiday. The beautiful apartment with its super view is phenomenal. Very compleet appartment, in the naberhood the swimpool. Every morning breakfast on the terrace, the day can not go wrong. If then we have any questions the very friendly and helpful Mrs.Nuttee. The stairs were a bit less, but good for the condition. Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Mila. We were looking for somewhere comfortable and warm (enough for potential February weather) during our half term break. Our party was 2 adults and 2 children. The apartment is certainly a level or two above what you'd normally expect of a holiday let. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfortable, and the fittings throughout are of a good standard. We had reasonable weather but did need to use the heating at times. We have stayed in apartments before that are not really equipped for winter weather. Casa Mila was fine in this respect. The booking process and communication with Olli and Iris was also a very good experience. They responded quickly to messages and returned our deposit promptly after our holiday. The location of Casa Mila was good for us, but future visitors should make sure this is also right for them. It is very easy to find from the instructions provided. It's around 2 miles to the west of Nerja along the coast road. You could walk along the beach and coast path but it might be a bit of a stretch for some, especially bearing in mind that when you reach the edge of Nerja there is still a way to go to get to the centre. If you have time and energy this is fine, otherwise you'll need a car. Casa Mila has a south facing balcony so catches the sun right through to the evening, and there is a wonderful uninterrupted view from the balcony across the sea. It is towards the top of a short but steep hill and there are a number of properties and the coast road between the apartment and the sea front itself. Finally, the apartment is tuned for German visitors. There is an extensive selection of TV channels, most of which are German language. There is also a very good looking information pack, again in German. As English speakers (only!) this meant we were unable to take full advantage of these. That said, we didn't come to Nerja to watch TV and we were self sufficient enough to explore for ourselves, so this wasn't a problem at all. Overall we would very much recommend Casa Mila to future visitors. We would recommend Casa Mila to future visitors.

Summary: Our family absolutely loved Casa Mila! It is immaculate in every way. Very nicely decorated and appointed, and dinner on the terrace with views of the ocean was perfect in every way. the pool opened the day we left, so we didn't use it, but it looked great and is a very short walk from the apartment. The location is ideal...a very quick 5 min drive into town where there are great restaurants, shops, groceries, and beaches. We loved exploring the amazing cave nearby, hiking down to a deserted beach, and the beautiful hill town of Frigiliana was a short drive away and a must-visit. We highly recommend Casa Mila!
