Summary: We have just enjoyed 4 nights in the apartment (more like a one floor cottage) with the most spectacular views. The owners were very helpful and the property was spotlessly clean and set in beautiful gardens. We ate on the balcony and enjoyed the vista. Everything was exactly as you would wish for with modern design and lovely beams. I can highly recommend this apartment and the surrounding area was stunning. We wish we had booked for a week. We will definitely be back to enjoy more of the Black Forest.

Summary: A very confortable and well equipped appartment in a quiet place and close to Freiburg and Europa Park.overall this area is a nice place to visit for those who enjoy nature and wish to forget the tumult of the City.

Summary: We returned for a second stay four years after our first and everything was even more lovely than we remembered. This is the best quality accommodation we have stayed in - everything done to the highest standard and real craftsmanship on display with the woodwork. The location is beautiful and quite isolated so ideal if you are looking for tranquility. That said, we found lots of things in the area to amuse two adults and two tweens including walks, Europa park, Baden Baden spa, and the treetop walk and slide (best two Euro ever spent!) in Waldkirch. We also visited the fabulous outdoor pool in Waldkirch three times which the children loved. Hopefully we'll be back for a third visit before too long!

Summary: The place was gorgeous and cosy, even more so than it seems from the pictures in fact. Just the right size for 4 people, clean and super well-provisioned especially in terms of crockery and cleaning products in the kitchen. We enjoyed making home dinners and the tranquil environment. Tanja checked in with us at the start and end, good balance of privacy and attention.

Summary: Our family of four (mum, dad, 8 year old, 5 year old) had a fabulous week here. The house is perfect - done to a very high standard, super comfy beds, immaculate - and surrounded by fields, with just the friendly owners next door. Within a 15-30 min drive there is so much to do. Our children loved the ourdoor pool in Waldkirch, along with the treetop walk which was well worth the hike to get there. We also had a fabulous afternoon exploring the children's forest trail at the edge of Freiamt. The national history museum in Freiburg is perfect for kids up to 10, packed with hands-on exhibits. All in all, we had a fabulous holiday, highly recommend this place and hope to be back before too long.

Summary: Our family of four (mom, dad, 10 & 7 year-olds) greatly enjoyed our week-long stay. We walked the trails behind the farm, enjoyed the beautiful long-distance views from the balcony, whittled sticks and played Whiffle-ball in the backyard. The apartment is just as-pictured -- it is very quiet and is comprised of the floor above the small schnapps distillery below. The host family lives in the large home next door; they were friendly when we saw them, but most of the time complete quiet was the rule! We did day trips to Strasbourg (1 hour) and to destinations throughout the Black Forest -- Freiburg is 30 minutes away, and large grocery stores in Emmendingen are 15 minutes away. We loved being able to leave the city behind and easily retire to a peaceful rural retreat after a day of exploring. Thank you to the Grafmuller family for providing a wonderful place to stay.
