Our guests love the open design of Flagstaff with two master suites, two separate living areas with Mitchell Gold furnishings and contemporary fireplaces, and a spacious, sunny loft sleeping space for extra guests.
The kitchen is thoughtfully equipped with gourmet appliances and provides a bright gathering place in the heart of the home for friends and family. Enjoy home cooked meals with mountain views or enjoy a life of luxury with private chef services arranged through our Alta Chalet guest concierge. PhotoHaus Flagstaff accommodates a maximum of 6 guests and is ideal for a couples getaway or family vacation in Alta. The ensuite bedrooms offer flexible sleeping configurations with the option of king or twin-beds, and there is a queen sofa sleeper in the living area. This Alta vacation condo features an on-site washer/dryer for guest convenience.

Ski Area Information
WINTER: Steps to Alta Ski Area. Snowbird is minutes away on free public transportation.
SUMMER: Easy access to hiking and biking.
PARKING: There is one parking spot for The Photohaus Flagstaff. It is directly in front of the unit. Please display Alta Chalets parking pass clearly on rearview mirror and park in designated Photohaus parking spot.
ALTA SHUTTLE: Alta Resort Shuttle runs mid-December to early April. Call our office for specific dates.
PLEASE NOTE: The PhotoHaus building is located on a hillside and has three levels. There is a flight of stairs to reach level one and the Mount Baldy and Flagstaff units are located on levels two and three respectively.
NEARBY PROPERTIES: Photohaus Baldy
The Flagstaff and the Baldy Photohaus have a fantastic location, just across the street from the Alta Ski Area. If you are familiar with Alta, these two units are just across the street from the Alta Lodge. So in the morning, you have two options to get to Alta. You can either jump on the Free Alta Resort Shuttle or ski down. The Resort Shuttle stops right by the house and will take you to either the Sunnyside base area for beginners or it will also take you to the Collins Base. If you want to ski, you can just walk across the street, down perhaps 10 Alta Lodge stairs to step into your skis to ski down to the Collins base (or jump on the rope tow to go to the Sunnyside base). To return home at the end of the ski day, you can either ride the Resort Shuttle again or you can jump on the Alta Lodge rope tow to go uphill to get back to the stairs that you started from that morning.
To get to Snowbird to go skiing, you would just take that Alta Resort Shuttle to The View Condominiums stop to ski down the intermediate “Whodunnit” run to Snowbird. At the end of the day, you can return to that same location to hop back on the Resort Shuttle to go back to the Photohaus.
Important note: Alta Resort Shuttle runs mid-December to early April.

Summary: Great small beautiful well appointed space with excellent views and fabulous location for skiing Alta. Lauralee was an excellent communicator. We had an Interlodge at the end of our stay and LaruaLee communicated with us throughout. The Hottub was added bonus. We were surprised that local restaurants and bars with few exceptions only service the patrons staying at their facility. So plan to cook most meals.

Summary: This was our first trip to Alta. From the first interaction with Lauralee who took so much time explaining everything in details to me to the last with Bradley who came after hours to help clear the snow from the roof so that we could enjoy the hot tub, everything was absolutely top notch. They were extremely responsive and attentive to all our needs. The unit was impeccably decorated, clean and magnificent in every way. We will definitely return. Thank you for making this trip a memorable one!

Summary: The view and access to Alta lifts is amazing. While you don't literally ski up to your door, its very close and worth the extra steps to gain the unobstructed view of Alta. We literally sat on the beautiful couch and watched the mountain open and close everyday (skiing in-between on some of Utah's finest snow!) The condo is very nicely furnished, gourmet kitchen and private hot tub - all very appreciated after a day of skiing. We enjoyed it all at can't wait to return! The staff was incredibly prompt with any of our questions and made us feel very comfortable.

Summary: The unit is in a fantastic location and very comfortable and clean. The views are stunning form multiple rooms. The Alta Chalet team was hyper-responsive, and very proactive in keeping us posted about Interlodge, road closures, road plowing etc. We had an A+ experience in every respect.

Summary: I am hesitant to speak in such glowing terms about this unit because I plan to return. The pictures accurately portray the unit; scenic views from all window, hot tub private with up-the-mountain views; convenient location to the Alta lift; fully & nicely equipped; updated furniture and bathrooms; gas fireplaces that provided warmth and ambiance; spacious ski lockers; and responsive host. Not an impediment for us, but there are a fair number of steps to the unit. Enjoy!

Summary: The chalet is just as beautiful or even more so than the pictures. The kitchen is well equipped and the Jacuzzi is well-maintained on a daily basis. We had a fantastic time with six of us and we're very comfortable. Two large screen TVs well placed helped us enjoy Super Bowl Sunday and the Olympics! Would love to come again!
