L'yle Ila is a beautiful newly remodeled year round cottage, with sleeping for 6 located on the water (ladder entry) with spectacular views of Lake Erie.
Enjoy swimming in the shallow water and relaxing on the beach. Listen to the sound of waves as you watch the evening sunset from the deck overlooking 120 feet of shoreline. At dusk, you'll be able to sit around and watch the sunset. L'yle Ila offers everything you need for a perfect waterfront getaway. It's located in a quiet area, yet minutes from restaurants and golf courses.
The open concept main floor shows off the spacious living room and dining areas with large windows facing the lake. The living room is equipped with a cozy stone gas fireplace, TV, high speed internet and DVD. This place is ideal for entertaining throughout the year.
The newly remodeled kitchen lets you enjoy the lake views even if you're the one having to cook! You'll find all the appliances and utensils needed to put together great meals: fridge, stove, microwave, blender, dishwasher and more.
The main floor also includes two bedrooms; both with queen size beds. There is also a three piece washroom on the main floor with a walk-in shower. The second floor bedroom, with a queen bed, looks out to a spectacular view of the lake and includes a three piece ensuite (walk-in shower).
There is also central air conditioning, a water purification system, and laundry facilities.
Please note that depending upon the year, the water levels are such that there is no beach at all. Even when conditions are such that there is a beach, it is small and not big enough to put down a beach towel or chairs.
Not recommended for children 5 years of age or under.
The cottage is located on an easy-to-reach road with parking for two (2) vehicles at the cottage. Great location as you're only a few minutes away from Port Colborne Golf Course and Country club.

Summary: Home had everything we need. Nice spacious home by the lake. No shops or restaurants walking distance though.

Summary: The view from the back of the home was very nice, except when the storm and high winds moved in. Waves battered the house and winds blew the outdoor furniture everywhere. Upon arrival, I had to clean the fridge because it had sticky residue and long hairs in it. There was a horrible odor in the kitchen and bathrooms that I can only assume was from the water. While the kitchen appears updated, the utensils and cookware need some updating. There were some pans that were so bad that I refused to use to cook on. There was an open hole in the upstairs shower that appeared to be a light fixture, when I inquired about it we were told it was safe to use as the owner had a light fixture in there that was shut off. I also inquired about how to access the beach area because in the description it says accessible by ladder but there was nothing there. I was told that the stairs do not get put in until the summer. That was disappointing as that is not stated in the listing. And lastly, the morning we were to be checked out by 10, I asked if the time could be pushed back as the storm was in full swing and it was difficult to even walk outside much less load a vehicle. I was told that the owner had a service person scheduled to come at 10 so they couldn't delay departure time. Even after I explained the situation, there was no concern for the safety of the renters. I expressed my dissatisfaction and my family was out by 10 (soaking wet from the storm) and there was no service person around.

Summary: The property was clean and perfectly located between Toronto and Niagara to allow us access to both. Would highly recommend for the view alone. The property managers were easy to work with and helped make the whole process smooth.

Summary: We spent a girls' week at this lovely cottage. Very clean and nicely renovated. The kitchen is well appointed but could use some cupboard space to store your dry goods. The beds were comfortable. The shining star of this property is the proximity to the lake. Listening to the waves crash made us feel like we were at the ocean. There are a lot of midges in mid-August so bring some bug spray to keep them away. We will definitely book again.

Summary: Went for a weekend getaway with friends. Had a great time there. The cottage was neat and very spacious. It says it sleeps 7, but 9 people can easily and comfortably stay in it. It has a well equipped kitchen and they let you know if you need to bring anything more for your comfort. The beds are comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious and easy to use. The view is BREATHTAKING! Can’t emphasize on that enough. You can just sit at the deck for hours looking at the lake. There are several food places near by. And there’s a No Frills about 10mins away. Lots of places to get groceries from and quite a lot of convenience stores nearby. The neighbors are really nice and friendly. And it’s located on a beautiful neighborhood. The communication and checking in and out process was smooth. Overall we had a great experience. Highly recommended.

Summary: We had a great time, awesome cottage, very clean, comfy furniture. It was a perfect place for our annual girls weekend. We did notice that the tall cupboard left of the stove has a vile smell. That is something that needs to be taken care of. Also it would be nice to have some basic supplies , coffee filters ( we left ones we bought) oil, extra salt & pepper, basic spices. Other than those items everything else was great. Would definitely think about renting again.

Summary: Loved every minute ! The beach is stunning Sand bottom for miles Private The view from every window is breath taking Can be very windy but it never gets old Not close to much a 15 to 30 min drive So worth it thou I travel a lot & stayed in low end to high end This cottage has quality I can’t find anywhere I’m booking my next vacation now!! The host Easy to work with But not much flexibility Check in is too late Check out is too early Only complaint Regret not booking longer

Summary: The house is just as beautiful as in the photographs. The kitchen is open and airy, and the bedrooms were nice and comfortable. Bathrooms were really pretty and spacious. This is one of the few houses that had a small beach in front, depending on the tide. Make note to bring beach towels and some plastic cups and enjoy the views!
