This property is ideal for several families or a large group of friends. There are 10 bedrooms in 2 houses that are attached. It boasts a fabulous private swimming pool and a tennis court.
There are 4 double/king bedrooms , 5 twin rooms and a family room with 4 single beds. The property has 5 bathrooms.
There is a fully fitted kitchen in each house with a dishwasher and washing machine. There are several lounges and dining facilities over the 2 houses. This allows groups or families to have their own privacy whilst enjoying spending time together.
The outdoor space has covered and open terraces which are perfect to dine al fresco whilst soaking in the stunning views of the Charente countryside.
La Ferriere is ideal for children. There are lots of gardens for them to explore as well as a play area with swings, trampoline and play house.
We also have a games room with a pool table, table tennis and football table.
La Ferriere is a hamlet with 4 properties in total. There are 3 smaller cottages to rent onsite making it ideal for an even larger group to enjoy time together but with their own privacy.
We are ideally situated to access the local villages and towns.
St Severin is 3kms away and has a supermarket, post office, bakery and tabac. It also has a couple of bars and restaurants.
Aubeterre is 8kms away and has a bustling village square with bars and restaurants and an amazing monolithic church . There is a lovely river beach here with a great bar/restaurant. You can hire kayaks from here and spend an afternoon on the Charente.

Summary: The property was amazing, in fact, even better than the pictures! Geraldine and Bob were the friendliest hosts ever and were always available should you need anything. We had an amazing stay there. We went to a couple of the lakes in the area (La Jamaye 15km, fabulous) and Aubeterre. We went kayaking from Aubeterre along the river. Beautiful. Aubeterre is beautiful, well worth a couple of visits. We did loads of cooking at the accommodation as it is very well equipped. There are 2 restaurants within reasonable walking distance - LelittleB in Petit Bersac and La Guinguette in Poltrot (our favourite, the squid was sublime). Not expensive but decent. Pool was fabulous and we spent many an hour in it. The tennis court is in excellent condition and that was used regularly (would have used it more except it was so hot when we were there). Book it and go, you will not be disappointed.
