Positive: Staying in Michael’s beautiful historic Victorian house was a very special experience. We loved the grandeur of the property and living spaces. Also a convenient location, private, yet close enough to walk to many excellent pubs and restaurants. Great to be able just pull up and park out front. Wonderful home base for exploring Derry, the coast, and other popular sites in Northern Ireland. Michael was an exceptional host, very kind and eager to share his knowledge and experience. We followed many of his recommendations for touring and meals. Highly recommended, we would love to return.
Negative: The only issues that we faced were related to the function of the washing machine and downstairs toilet. The home dates to a bygone era, which is very impressive, but also is associated with some age related quirks. Michael was great about responding to our concerns, but we had to work around these limitations throughout our stay. However, these issues would not stop us from returning.
Summary: Very special experience, wonderful historic home, great home base for exploring Derry and Northern Ireland.

Positive: The host Michael met us, very hospitable and gave us a tour of the house and gardens, some of the original furniture and architecture still there, amazing history. Amazing views of the river and cathedral. Gardens were well kept. Rooms were very clean and tidy, there were so many rooms, one was a music room that my son who was doing GCSE music worked very well and kept us very well entertained, bonus room! Two other chill out rooms with TVs. I was so happy with this booking for my family of all ages, we have booked to go back next year. Excellent location for tours around the city. Well done Michael and thank you.
Negative: We had a few issues with the oven but the host was most helpful and was always there at the end of the phone to fix anything.
