Get the feel of Up North without the drive! 25 mins from Brighton, 35 mins from Novi, 20 mins from Holly, 1 hour from Lansing, 40 mins from Ann Arbor. Ideal for a family getaway without the long commute on a congested highway.
Lobdell lake is an all-sports lake with 545 acres to explore and a public boat launch so you can bring your boat and keep it at our dock during your stay. The lake is great for swimming, tubing, water-skiing, and fishing. It is part of the Genesee county chain of lakes. You can even dock your boat at 2 waterfront restaurants on the lake.
Two of everything! 2 parent bedrooms (king/queen beds), 2 kids bedrooms (bunk beds), 2 kitchens, 2 full baths, 2 family rooms, 2 TVs and 2 kayaks! Also 1 canoe. Enough beds for 12 people. Large yard overlooking the lake for kids to play and adults to relax. Large shaded beach area complete with beach chairs, kayaks and canoe plus sandy swimming area are perfect for your family to relax and enjoy the water.

Street level parking for 3 cars. Reliable wifi means you can stay connected at work while you vacation at our home. Smart TVs allow you to connect to your own Netflix, Amazon prime or other online accounts to watch shows.

Summary: We liked the property. It is in a nice lakeside neighborhood and close to the main towns of Linden and Fenton for shopping, eating, gas, etc. Only one suggestion: the listing specified that there were stairs, it should have specified that there are 30 stairs down to the main door and another 15 or so down to the beach.

Summary: Lower level closets have no rods so could not hang clothes. Towels could use an upgrade- pretty worn and some are stained. Oven was not clean and set off smoke alarm every time we tried to use it. Washer on lower level did not work. No towel bar in bathroom on main floor. We really enjoyed the property and the lake. House seems like it could use a little more amenities and basic things seem to be a work in progress. Overall we had a very nice week and plenty of room for family to join us!

Summary: We booked because of location, size of kitchen and could fit 12 people. Didn't think about all the stairs to go up and down to unload, the steps we needed to be swept. They had lots of small branches on and didn't seam save for me or my 70 year old mother. The kitchen was a great size, but the hot tap water will burn you, there was a sign in the drawer, but not by the faucet and we had kids so this was a worry for us. There was only 1 kitchen towel and wash cloth, so had to buy some to use. There is a beautiful sky light in the kitchen, but they have some ant issue that leaves a mess on the counter. Definitely bring towels if have a big group, there was towels but not enough for 12 people was no bath matt, so needed to use a towels for that also. Overall we had great time, just some detail stuff i thought was important, but missed. Tv dirty and had to clean hand prints off it. Garbage can lid a mess.

Summary: My family and I stayed at this property on the lake for 5 days. The lake was very peaceful while we were there, and the it was nice to sit on the porch in the mornings. I loved the layout of the house - an upper floor and a lower floor with plenty of sleeping space, a bathroom, and a kitchen. A perfect layout if there is one group that wants to stay up later without bothering the other floor. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the condition of the house. When we walked into the house the first time, it almost appeared in ways that they were not prepared for guest. The counters were not clean. There was obvious pet hair covering the blue sofa, and there was a load of dirty dishes in the dishwater. We let the owner know and she responded very quickly and seemed concerned. She was very nice and easy to communicate with. It appeared to us that the home really needed a few days of hard cleaning to get it into shape. There were lots of spiders and spider webs in the windows.. The remotes had dead batteries and did not work. The upper floor tv (which doesn’t fit the recessed space it was designed for) was unplugged and we had to remove it from the wall to plug it in. The stairs from the parking area to the front door were overgrown and you had to push out of the way or dodge when you entered. But if these things and others we taken care of, it would be a really nice place to stay. Having the canoe available was fantastic, and my daughter and I loved catching fish in the lake!

Summary: This house had plenty of room for our group of 11 to spread out without feeling crowded. The host was very responsive to our needs without hovering. The shallow swimming area was great for our young kids.

Summary: This was a great property for family with grandparents, grown children, grandchildren. Two kitchens, two sets of washing machines, dryers, plenty of sleeping room. Beach area with docks very nice, water was shallow. Property would be great for bringing your own boat or jet skis. Grocery store, hardware store, fast food within 10 minutes of house. Very nice free public beach, Clover Beach, 20 minute drive away. Communication with propert manager was very good.

Summary: Great size for large family vacation. Very clean. AC kept us cool during 90 degree days. Nice amenities, very handy having 2 kitchens and 2 washer/dryers. The beach was great. The swimming area was a sandy bottom and shallow enough for younger kids.
