Chalet Silva is situated in the idyllic and peaceful village of Le Tour, at the very top of the Chamonix Valley.
Just 3km from Argentiere, the chalet is only 20m from the Vormaine beginners ski area and 200 metres from the BRAND-NEW for DECEMBER 2022 Le Balme Telecabin. With ski to the door access, ideal for two families or similar groups, it offers spacious, chalet accommodation, with a sauna so you can soothe any aching muscles from a day in the mountains. The chalet sleeps 8-12 in four bedrooms and on a mezzanine level.

The main living space is situated on the first floor and uses plenty of wood to create a cosy rustic atmosphere. At one end of the room there are sliding glass doors the lead onto a spacious balcony with wonderful views along the valley. Back inside, you'll find large comfortable sofas where you can stretch out and relax in the evening next to the wood-burning stove, listening to the chalet album collection or your own music choices on the Denon music system. Set back from the sitting area is the large wooden dining table and fully equipped kitchen.
Above the main living area is a mezzanine level which acts as a second living room or extra bedroom area. There are two sofas, a 40" Smart TV that has French & UK TV channels, Netflix and other streaming services. There is also a large collection of DVD and Blu-ray films along with a selection of children's toys and classic books in English and French. There is also a musical corner with an Aria acoustic guitar, Kala Ukulele and Yamaha Keyboard, together with music books for all instruments. The two sofas can be set up as one double and two single sofa beds which can be used when sleeping up to 12 guests.
For relaxation after a full day on the mountain, guests can soothe any aching muscles and unwind in the Chalet Silva's private sauna.
The chalet includes free WiFi access and there are dedicated workspace desks in the main living area, on the Mezzanine and in the master bedroom. Whilst for your added convenience there is a washing machine, tumble dryer, secure ski room and underground parking in two garages with EV charging capability.
Guest access - Guests will have exclusive use of the chalet and all the facilities, including the sauna. There is a lockable ski room in the underground carpark along with two garages, both of which have 16amp electric plug points for car charging with a height of 2.2m. The electric garage door gives direct accesses the public road, which is cleared of snow by the local authorities.

Summary: End March 2011-Having just come back from Le Tour and having stayed in Chalet Silva was a wonderful experience. The chalet has all you need 'home away from home' and much more. Well kept, in good condition it was great to stay in. Good for mulitple families with children or teens. Went late in the season so snow not very good, expecially the second week i,e, early April. Chamonix a 20 min bus ride away is a wonderful little village with loads to do. Generally between Le Tour, Argentine and Chamonix there is something for everyone!

Summary: Le Tour and Chalet Silva must rate as the hidden gems of the Chamonix Valley. The chalet is very family friendly and newly fitted out. It was the perfect set up for long relaxed evening meals and chats round the fire in the large living area. The location, right at the foot of the slopes, couldn't be more convenient for both nursery and main slopes of Le Tour, and note these are the most accessible slopes in what is at times a challenging valley. The shops, eateries and nightlife of Argentiere are a short hop away. I am coming out in the summer too, the lift up here serves mountain bikes I hear!

Summary: Brilliant for multi family skiing and Summer breaks as it has open and wide social space for dinning and fun by the fire It is also has skiing to the door from the children's slopes which makes the family logistics so much easier. Even more amazing in the Summer with the lift around the corner offering mountain bike assistance up to the top where you will see the most incredible views, great restaurants and find perfect picnics spaces. The mountain flowers and roaming cows (with their bells) are a sight to behold.

Summary: Very comfortable chalet with underground parking, real fire, balcony and sauna in a fabulous position close to La Tour lift station and L'Olympique - family run restaurant/ institution. Great for groups - I went with the boys but will come back en famille.
