Summary: Peaceful location on Portage Lake. Watch the sunrise while sipping coffee on the deck. The cottage is well equipped including spices for cooking, foil, and plastic wrap for leftovers. Bunkie by the water was a great place to hangout. Close to Houghton for downtown shopping & dining. Easy to communicate with host.

Summary: We were up in the area visiting Michigan Tech for our son. Our group included my son, daughter, her fiance, my husband and I. We had everything we needed (wished we would have caught a few more fish, however)! The cottage was spotless the location was perfect. Very relaxing and we loved the area. Thank you for a wonderful trip and place to stay!

Summary: Perfect place to stay while picking up my daughter from MTU in late April. Very clean and comfortable. I bet it's even better in the warm Summer months when you can take full advantage of the proprty and the lake.

Summary: Differently! would recommend this lovely, relaxing, charming lake cottage. I can't say enough about the property owners. They are so helpful even before my stay began, they responded quickly to any questions I had. And all the treats all the delicious coffee that was waiting for us when we arrived was just an extra special touch. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and has everything you would need. The owner's have thought of everything. And the Bunkie was quite a nice surprise 🙂 very relaxing. It was nice to sit out there and enjoy the Yooper coffee and read.

Summary: We had a great time! The owners were great, as hands on or hands off as we wanted. They had great suggestions for what to see and do in the area. For our small group (just three of us) the place worked out nicely, the kitchen and living room were spacious, and the sliding glass door looked over the deck out to the lake (one night the moon rise over the water was absolutely inspiring).
