Le Mané is a traditional Breton house, situated in a tranquil setting within the Morbihan region of Brittany. Only ten minutes from the beautiful Blavet river and 30 minutes from many of Brittany's stunning beaches, it is the ideal holiday location, whatever the time of year. Comfortably accommodating 6 - 8 people, the villa has all the amenities for a relaxing and peaceful holiday. Dogs are welcome. Set in one hectare of garden and paddock, the villa benefits from 1 double bedroom and 1 family room with double bed and bunk beds. There is a large kitchen, a dining room with extensive views out onto the garden and, upstairs, a large living room with games area that extends the length and width of the house.
The villa is situated at the edge of St Yves, a small hamlet comprising a church, two bars and a school. Just a five minute drive away is the larger town of Bubry, where there is a large supermarket, numerous shops and a good selection of bars and restaurants. The next town is Plouay which is famous for hosting a number of professional cycling events, notably the GP Ouest-France, UCI Road World Championships and even stages of the Tour de France. Within easy reach is the Blavet River which flows from the Côtes-D'Armor through to Lorient and is the ideal location for fishing, canoeing, cycling, bird watching, and rambling. The Atlantic coast beaches are only 30 minutes away by car. Enjoy the beautiful sandy beaches around Lorient and Quiberon as well as the numerous picturesque islands situated only a short boat-ride away.

Summary: The huge garden for this property was a highlight for us with our children spending hours playing in it. We loved how peaceful it was away from city life, the stars at night were absolutely beautiful. Our older two children were delighted with the sports facilities in the attic too. Thank you Debbie and Ian for a really special few days.

Summary: The house itself is set back from the lane, it is like going from home to home and pet friendly!The weather wasnt great for us considering the time of year very unpredictable. It is fully equipped for all your needs. The garden is massive with a lovely fig tree and 2 sitting areas for your comfort. The owner Debbie is always an email or call away always responds promptly. The area itself is close to a number of places although a car is essential. Beaches are roughly a 40 to 45 mins drive away. All in all a great stay.

Summary: We booked this property as it was advertised as wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately first impression weren't good, as you pull up the drive to the garage you find the only access to the property is up a flight of stairs in the garage, not wheelchair friendly. The way to get to the other side of the property is up a slope across the grass. Once there the only access into the property is up a rather large step. A quick rummage around the garage we were able to find enough material to fashion a ramp. This then enabled the wheelchair user to get in and out of the property without too much difficulty, once the grass slope has been negotiated. The other upset on arrival was that the property beds were made up for two couples. Unfortunately two of our party were not a couple so needed separate beds. A text to the owner, and this was rectified the following day. Miscommunication during the booking process. We had one other minor problem, again this was rectified quickly by the owner. Once we had got over our long journey to Brittany and the initial disappointments we started to love the property. It is very well equipped with many DVD's, games and entertainment equipment, Xbox etc. It is very quiet and peaceful. The garden is lovely, a great place to relax with a glass of wine or beer. There are two Freesat equipped TV's (though they have to show the same channel) showing english programs. There are garden games and many other facilities, too numerous to list. The one niggle was a window on the double bedroom. This is high above the bed and has no curtain or other covering so as soon as it gets light outside the bedroom is full of light. OK, unless, like us, you like a dark bedroom and and like a lay in on holiday and don't want to wake at 5 in the morning in the summer. The owners are easily contactable, respond very quickly, and have local people if something needs attention. On the whole I would recommend the property, you won't be disappointed but not with someone has has to rely and a wheelchair to get around.

Summary: We had a very relaxing holiday in this beautiful house which I certainly can recommend. Plenty of room in the house, big garden, a very quiet place. The house is very light and has lots of entertainment for a rainy day. Don't get addicted to the 1000 piece puzzles ! Vannes is a bit far away (but doable and very nice), but there is enough to do in the neigbourhood like a walk along the Blavet or a visit to the beautiful church of Kernascleden.

Summary: Communication with Debbie before our arrival was a breeze. She was extremely helpful and full of advice on places to eat, visit etc. The house itself is set in beautiful surroundings, whilst peaceful this is a house that you could never get board in. There is so much to entertain you. 10 minutes from the supermarket, vets, restaurants etc. Lots of beautiful towns, beaches and points of interest near by. We particularly loved Auray market on the Monday and the medieval town of Josselin. We would love to come back and stay next year. Thank you Debbie.
