Bamboo Cottage is a beautiful stone cottage built in 1707. It is part of a Breton longhouse in Nevedic, which means Little Sanctuary in the Breton language. The cottage has been beautifully and lovingly restored to provide 21st century living. Inside you will find a style modern, yet sympathetic to its ancient past. The living area has a wood effect panel heater to ensure you are warm should there be cooler evenings. On the mezzanine floor you will find a comfortable double bed with quality bed linen for a good nights rest and luxurious robes to snuggle into after enjoying a shower. There is a modern en-suite shower room with beautiful fluffy towels. For those who need to keep in touch excellent free wi-fi is available.
All this sits in the heart of Southern Brittany's most beautiful countryside and forms part of a small stone hamlet within a conservation area, of which the peace and tranquillity has hardly changed since the reign of Louis XIV. Discover at your leisure 1 acre of garden complete with wood burning hot tub where you can enjoy a glass of wine under star-filled skies thanks to our lack of light pollution. We have a potager full of flowers, herbs and vegetables and an orchard all of which you are welcome to sample.
Poul Fetan, the 16th century village of French culture is just a 5 minutes walk away and makes for a perfect day out with costumed hosts and a tavern selling local cider and Breton meals. The Nevedic Woods have many paths leading to the Blavet River, where you will find a weir and a small bar (open throughout the high season). The woods provide excellent opportunities for mountain biking. Along the River Blavet runs a cycle/footpath passing through towns and hamlets from Pontivy to the coast. This pathway is perfect for walking, running, fishing and especially cycling.
The small village of Quistinic can also be reached via Nevedic Woods for those who like a good walk (25 minutes). Here you will find a shop selling many general household items including fresh bread, cakes and milk. There is also a pharmacy, postal service, creperie with bar and a small bar/newsagent.
Large supermarkets, bars, restaurants and numerous shops can be found in Baud or Bubry, both a 20 minute drive away. There are many beaches within a 45 minutes drive. If you like browsing town markets there is at least one to be found everyday.

Summary: Bamboo cottage is spotlessly clean, finished to a high standard and well equipped. Linda and David are helpful and friendly and on hand if you need them. We enjoyed walking down to the riverside bar and the canal and exploring Josselin and Vannes and we loved returning to the beautiful gite and the amazing wood fired hot tub.

Summary: We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful place. As soon as we arrived we were delighted by the warm welcome from Linda and David. Our accommodation had everything we needed. The entire complex exudes a wonderful sense of peace and quiet, the garden is very natural on the one hand, but is also very well maintained and lovingly laid out. Linda and David gave us valuable tips for trips in the area and were always available to help and advise when needed. Thank you very much for this, the two of them are role models of good hosts.

Summary: This small, compact yet stocked-with-everything-we needed-VRBO was just what we needed as we traveled the Morbihan area. We loved the little patio table where we had a bite to eat and refreshments each evening. Our meal outside allowed us having the most delightful chats with the owners, Linda and David. They made us feel so welcome as did the welcome basket of cider, eggs, and homemade bread. Thanks for all you do to make The Bamboo Cottage such a wonderful place to stay.

Summary: This property was immaculately clean, very well provided for, everything you might need and such warm welcoming hosts who were always ready to respond to any additional request and to offer helpful advice about the area, places to visit, restaurants etc. The garden offers lots of space - which for us was used for relaxing in the shade with our books. A real sense of being away from it all and yet the beautiful river Blavet is very close for walking swimming canoeing etc . We enjoyed a lovely evening hot tub admiring the stars. The hosts went over and above their role in giving us a very memorable stay - many thanks to Linda and Dave.
