This fantastic apartment sleeps 8 (+1) and features a large open plan living/dining room with kitchen area, 3 bedrooms, 1 double, 1 twin/double, 1 with bunk beds & 2 deluxe bathrooms, covering in total 82 m2 . In the lounge there is a large sofa bed, and upstairs there is also an attic room which can be used as a further sleeping area with an extra 2 single truckle beds. There are 2 large balconies both with beautiful views of Mont Blanc and the valley below.
The apartment has its own ski locker and underground parking space. Chalet des Wengen also boasts a Spa which includes an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. A perfect way to relax after a days skiing!
A short 150m walk takes you to the village where there is a variety of shops and restaurants; we really recommend the delightful bakery and tempting delicatessen. The lifts, and ski hire shops are also all to hand from the centre of the village. The nearest chairlift is Plan Bois which is just above the village square, just 5/6 mins walk from the apartment.
Local area: Just 3km down the road lies Montchavin, a traditional alpine village, offering a mixture of restaurants and apartments,and also a cinema, set amidst local houses and hay barns. It is easy to reach Montchavin, either on skis, in the telecabine (summer and winter) or via the free ski bus. Montchavin makes a lovely stop for lunch in the middle of a day's skiing. A new indoor/outdoor pool is open in the summer. Down in the valley, the nearest town is Bourg St Maurice, 17km away, offering a greater selection of shops and supermarkets. In Bourg there is a wonderful Saturday morning Market, selling local specialities, and produce. For a quick supermarket stop on the way up thereโ€™s is a new shopping complex just off the N90 at Aime, with an E.Leclerc, a Decathlon and others.
How to get there: Les Coches lies on the border between the two fantastic ski areas of Les Arc and La Plagne.
By Car, it is 930km from Calais, taking approx 9 hours.
By Air, the following airports are within easy reach: Chambery (1hr), Grenoble (2hr), Lyon (2hr), Geneva (2.5hr).
By Train, The Eurostar goes direct to Bourg from St Pancras.
Extra details on the apartment: All bed linen and towels are provided and beds are made up on arrival. We do not supply towels for the swimming pool.
A cot or high chair is available on request, subject to availability, for an extra cost of โ‚ฌ50/ยฃ45.
There is a communal reception area, Here you can get english newspapers and relax by the open fire, or play pool with friends with free tea and coffee. The WiFi is stronger here than in the apartment!

Summary: This apartment was very comfortable for five adults and two teens. It's just a short walk to the chair lifts and the shops/bars.The addition of some ski boot storage would be good as would lids for the smaller pans.Communication was very good although we were provided with the wrong code to enter the garage. This was soon rectified. Overall a nice apartment which we would use again.

Summary: Excellent stay at Chalet de Wengen. Awesome location, chalets views were the best Weโ€™ve experienced in many years skiing. Lift 5 mins away, chalet worked well with adults, teens etc. We would definitely come back - it would benefit massively from a boot room or boot dryer on the premises but only minor complaint. Thanks so much to hosts for homely set up !

Summary: We had a wonderful summer week holidays in the appartment. It's fully equiped and the view is gorgeous. We enjoyed spending time on the balcony. As well we went hiking in the surroundings. It's plenty of great walks! Kate is very kind, quick answering and has been very supportive to fix an issue we had at the beginning. We would love to come back again

Summary: This is a wonderful apartment in a great location! The view is unbelievably fabulous. There are three comfortable bedroom upstairs and one on the main floor. It was perfect for our group of seven. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything including a dishwasher. The dining area has a wonderful large table which was great for our large group and nice for playing games. The teens enjoyed the X Box in the living area. The apartment is nice and close to the ski lift as well as stores and restaurants. It's the perfect location for skiing both La Plagne and Les Arcs. Kate, the owner answered all my questions immediately. The parking garage was great to have for our car also. This is a lovely apartment that exceeded our expectations and we hope to return someday...
