Summary: Bar workers were incredibly sweet. Any issues were clarified and worked out swiftly with the staff. Great stay!

Summary: We had a very nice stay at Faraway and enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The common areas were well maintained and clean. Staff was all lovely. Parking can be tricky in Edgartown so take a cab if you can but they do provide overflow lots.

Summary: I just wanted to write this review about the Faraway I checked into my room after a long day of moving on island . I got to the room tried to wash my face and hands . No hot water , Tried to call the front desk no phone service . I had to use the cell phone to reach the front desk . Finally after a 30 minute wait maintenance and the front desk attendant stopped by . They had no idea what was wrong and how to fix it . He asked me to move to another room but i declined because i was beat and had already gone food shopping and put it away . Another issue i have a problem with is . I was only supposed to pay $28 @ the property but they charged my card $200 for incidentals. Thats alot of $ for incidentals. I just dont understand how a luxury hotel like that . Can open up for the season and meticulously inspect every room before presenting it to the public . Also the smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling . There was black mold in the shower not a good look with white subway tiles . It was cold that nite i jacked my heat up.to.78 degrees and fan on high . It was soo cold in my room it was like i was camping . The staff was incompetent, unskilled and the quality was unacceptable for a room that cost $700 @ nite to check in . Im waiting to speak with the manager . Lets see if he calls me . TRULY DISSATISFIED
