Our farm is rural and tranquil with lots of nature and farm animals, a beautiful place to relax and unplug. Conveniently located close to the Intersection of I-74 and I-55. Close to Illinois State and Illinois Wesleyan Universities.
As our guest you will have access to our farm surroundings. The loft provides a beautiful country view of the pasture. The loft includes a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. The loft is stocked with plates, glasses, coffee cups and silverware. A Keurig coffee pot with a Variety of coffee is provided. A hot and cold fresh water dispenser is also available in the loft.
Need some fresh air? The area is a wonderful place to sit and read a book, play a guitar or just listen to the sounds of nearby nature. There is a small fire pit with firewood, and a park-like grill with charcoal is provided.
Downstairs you will have access to a private restroom with shower.
Guest Parking is clearly marked. Enjoy a walk around our 3 acre country trail. Gaze upon the country farm house apron collection, one of the largest in the Midwest!
Please be aware that this loft is located on the second story of the building, with access up a flight of 10 stairs. If you have mobility issues, you may wish to choose a different location.
Please be advised this is a working farm. It is 100 + years old and we cannot promise you may not see a bug or two. We have a few farm animals that need daily attention so you may see someone wondering around at some point. Just wave if you need anything, we’re happy to help out.

Summary: My wife and I stayed here while visiting ISU. We had the most relaxing experience!! The room is on the second floor of a barn and was as cozy and comfortable as could be. The active heading Farm was also a pleasant experience as well as the rooster waking me up in the morning. Everything you could ask for was on hand. Clean sheets, coffee, clean shower and bathroom, comfortable bed and a huge big screen television to relax in the evening. We are looking forward to future stays there and came away, wanting to sell our house and live in the middle of the country!

Summary: It was absolutely delightful. I enjoyed it so much. We were pleasantly surprised by the quirky decor, and the beautiful land. The host gave me a lovely tour of the all the animals and the other rental. I picked some apples to eat and fed one to the alpacas.It was just perfect.

Summary: This was the cutest, quaint place! We stayed here for my son’s baseball tournament. The location was great within 10 minutes of field but yet nice quiet location. The setting was so peaceful and the animals were great. The little barn loft apartment had everything we needed: small fridge, microwave, keurig, smart tv, comfy beds, and air conditioning in the main bedroom/living room area.

Summary: The property is beautiful and has lots of animals to see! If you don’t like spiders or heat, the barn loft should not be your first choice. There is AC in the bedroom but none in the bathroom/kitchen. However, it’s very peaceful and would be perfect in the winter. My partner and I would stay there again!
