HEDERA is a romantic ground floor apartment facing south,It is derived from old stables of the Cunina farm and has a wide entrance. From the inside you can admire the beautiful views of Buonconvento and Montalcino..The apartment is maintained in the typical Tuscan architecture of ancient vaulting, which give a fascinating taste of another era. It has a comfortable separate kitchenette, a large living room with an antique fireplace, bathroom with shower and a bedroom with a double bed .

The farmhouse PODERE CUNINA is a farm-holiday location within this system of architectural and landscape recovery that fully respects its environment. Traditional materials typical of the area, sourced via accurate and detailed research, were used for the renovation. Located inside a large nature reserve, with many small and medium-sized woodland animals, it offers 7 finely-renovated flats to tourists, with views of Montalcino, Mount Amiata and the hills of Buonconvento and Siena. It is equipped throughout with quality, antique furniture, fitted with all modern comforts, with maximum level certification regarding safety and energy saving (underfloor heating via geothermal system, thermal insulation, pool).
The location of the agriturismo is perfect. Minutes from charming Buonconvento, and less than 30 minutes from multiple other beautiful Tuscan hilltop towns like Montalcino(which can be seen from the house),Siena Pienza, Montepulciano, S.QuiricoThis makes relaxing day trips possible and still allows time to return to enjoy Podere Cunina. The grounds are well landscaped with natural herbs everywhere, which were used in the cooking class.
We live in the Crete Senesi and the Val d'Orcia lans, just South of Siena. They are the best typical tuscan landscapes! (world heritage under the protection of UNESCO with the Val d’Orcia)

This area of Tuscany is intensely beautiful and within easy reach of many of the most significant cultural sites in Italy ( Siena is 30 minutes away, Florence 100 minutes, Assisi 2 hours, Rome: two and half, Pisa 2 h, the wonderful Maremma sea one and half). It’s very close to some of the major wine centers of Italy and, indeed, the world. Montalcino is on our doorstep and MOntepulciano less than an hour’s journey. The area offers great opportunities for walking, riding, or cycling through spectacular, rolling countryside.

Summary: Beautiful excellent farmer’s house on top of the hill, peaceful and nice. We truly feel the good old days of Tuscany country side. The landscaping on the scenery, unimaginable. Our host are very kind and they keep the property so neat and clean.

Summary: This is an amazing place. The grounds and views were spectacular. Our hosts were welcoming and extremely solicitous. Our apartment was roomy and decorated in the style of a country Tuscan home. The location was perfect as it was situated near many of the famous hill towns of Tuscay. We highly recommend staying at this incredible place!!

Summary: The Freddi family did a magnificent job restoring this hilltop podere in Tuscany. The view overlooking the valleys to the south and west is incomparable, Montaltcino a few KM to the south. We ended up staying here for sunsets all but one night of our stay. And the fog in the valleys in the morning was magical. Sylvana and Georgio are welcoming hosts with a wealth of information about things to do and see throughout all of Tuscany. And the cooking class with their son Marcello was fun, informative and delicious. We highly recommend Podere Cunina

Summary: We were looking for a place to use as our base while we explored Tuscany by car and loved the look of Podere Cunina. Our experience with this agriturismo and the Freddi family did not disappoint; in fact, it made the trip absolutely magical! The house itself is beautiful and the views from almost any angle have to be seen to be believed! From the apartments to the grounds, everything was beautifully kept and its location was perfect for heading out to the hilltowns during the day. The Freddi family was incredibly nice and their hospitality was boundless. We loved out stay and will definitely return to Podere Cunina for our next Tuscan visit! Summary: My partner and I stayed at the Taxus apartment at Podere Cunina for a quick stay at the end of our Italy honeymoon. What can I say but this place is so beautiful. The Freddie family are such warm and gracious hosts. The apartment showcased the authentic feeling of what a true Tuscany experience should be. The home sits upon a hilltop with stunning views in all directions. It was a perfect stay to cap off our trip, unfortunately we wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back for a longer stay. Thanks for a great stay. Ciao!

Summary: I cannot recommend Podere Cunina highly enough. My partner and I spent a week here in late October and it was just perfect. The Freddi family could not have been more welcoming and friendly. The apartments are beautifully furnished (we stayed in Hedera which has just incredible views as you step out of the door over the hills looking towards Montalcino a few miles away). The views in every direction are just amazing. The outdoor pool is fantastic - just about warm enough to swim in even in mid-October - and also with incredible views over the olive groves to Montalcino. Highly recommend doing a cookery class with Marcello - not only for the amazing food but also it was really nice to have dinner with the family afterwards. Their extra virgin olive oil, honey and saffron is also wonderful. If you're looking for a truly peaceful, relaxing holiday in the heart of Tuscany, there can't be many places better than this. Grazie mille, Silvana and Piergiorgio - we will definitely come back again sometime to stay here again.

I would highly recommend this property to anyone traveling in Italy. It was the perfect place to view the Tuscany region and surrounding towns. Summary: Podere Cunina is a truly a little piece of heaven! The love and pride that have gone into every part of this wonderful property are evident down to the smallest detail. Silvana and her family are gracious hosts and eager to make sure your stay is what you expect. Our time there was 100% PERFECT from the apartment (Hedera), to the garden, (pick your own vegetables for dinner) the pool, the absolute peace and quiet, and fun cooking class taught by son, Marcello. Don't miss the cooking class! We stayed four nights and would return again with no second thoughts. You will definitely enjoy your time at Podere Cunina.
