The house has been fully and authentically restored with traditional local material and provides a comfortable, self catering stay for a family sleeping 4 people or for a couple. The setting is unique, sun drenched olive groves, the smell of the wild time and herbs in the summer, the clusters of wild flowers in the spring, the clear unpolluted air, and will give you the opportunity to immerse yourself in a lifestyle of dreams.
Trekking, mountain bike, Buddhism and more: Walk for miles along ancient tracks and stop to take in the breathtaking scenes that open up in front of you.

Summary: Marisa and Oswaldoโ€™s house is an absolutely lovely place up in the hills, surrounded by nature. Marisa herself is the best you could ever hope for in a host. The house is quite isolated (a big plus for us), so if thatโ€™s not your thing, this might not be the best place for you. But if you love dark skies, butterflies, wild-flowers (in spring), friendliness (from Marisa) and dogs (all very friendly and great around kids) then you couldnโ€™t really do better.

Summary: Me and my family have spent 2 weeks in this cozy farmhouse, the apart was well furnished and sunny, the view is breathtaking, beaches are just 20 min from the house, historical towns within 1 hour driving. I can say was a wonderful holiday in a true Tuscany corner!

Summary: We stayed there in October 2017 for 7 days, the farmhouse Ligoracce is perfectly overlooking Tuscan hills and surroundings. Our apartment was clean and fully equipped: perfect bedrooms ,kitchen and bathroom, we recommended this worderful place 100% for the entire family and the best thing is that pets are allowed!!!!! :) We will return on spring time for sure!!!

Summary: Very quiet location in the hills, a long way from the road. Beautiful walks all around ,and superb restaurants a (steep) walk away the place is just spectacular! The property itself was what we were looking for basic but very clean with all the facilities.

Summary: My husband and I spent two weeks at The Ligoracce at the end of September and early October. It couldn't have been better! Marisa and her family are warm, friendly and helpful and made our stay very special. This is a studio apartment, but the accommodation is charming, spacious, clean and well-equipped. The location, very close to Castellina Marittima is perfect as a home base for visiting the many beautiful interesting places nearby dotted along the Tuscan coast and inland, although we found our favorite days were ones spent relaxing and enjoying all that The Ligoracce had to offer: Al fresco dining overlooking the rolling Tuscan hills, cycling along the many old country tracks or walking down with the borrowed dogs to the river. *The dogs loved it too), We helped Marisa harvest the figs and the berries, and enjoyed tomatoes fresh from their garden and the jam she made with the fruits! We look forward to visiting The Ligoracce this year and weโ€™ll bring the grandchildren!

Summary: We had a fantastic time at "le Ligoracce" The area is beautiful and tranquil and being immersed in "nature" helped us unwind immediately. My husband loves walking and he was spoilt for choices. My oldest one, nine was smitten by "Peppa" the beagle and the animals and she was even reluctant to leave them to go to the local beach for a daily dip. We manged to visit San Geminiano, Volterra and Populonia ( beautiful for swimming,but need to get there early for the most conformable places near the grass). The little ones loved running around and playing with water in the tub that Marisa had organized for them. Marisa was friendly and helpful and provided us with tasters of the local products that made us feel very welcomed and part of the community. We will return next year as we only had a week and it was not really long enough to see everything.

Summary: Very quiet location in the hills, a long way from the road. Beautiful walks all around and superb restaurants a (steep) walk away. Walking back at night, we were greeted by a firefly display most evenings - spectacular! Marisa was very helpful with local information and spoke very good English! 15 minutes drive away from the coastal attractions, and an easy drive from Pisa. Plenty of unspoiled beaches within easy reach. The property itself was basic but very clean, and had a nice shower room.
