Situated in 56 acres of our own meadows and woodland. The farmhouse is set within a large private courtyard. The 200yr old stone built farmhouse is equipped with a modern touch while not losing that traditional French feel. The kitchen is hand made from using local chestnut timber, there is a six burner gas hob and double oven rangemaster cooker so the self catering can be much for enjoyable and stress free with the amount of people in your party. There is a four seater table in front of the log burner in the kitchen area for those early risers or late evenings chatting in front of the log fire. There is also a large solid oak dinning table which comfortably seats 8 people.
To the front of the farmhouse there is a terrace with outside dining and bbq area, to the rear of the farmhouse there is an enclosed garden with access to the large private pool, laid to lawn with shrubs, also great for outside dining and bbq's.
Private 15 x 6 salt water pool with fencing to meet approved safety regulations with pool gate.
There are many onsite activities to keep everybody occupied should you wish, including badminton, table tennis, table football, basketball to mention but a few.
This quiet, tranquil setting is ideal to relax and unwind and enjoy the fantastic views of the Perigord National Park and it's wildlife but within easy distance to many attractions including Limoges and Brantome (otherwise known as Little Venice), as well as beautiful safe swimming lakes, canoeing and numerous french markets, making this the ideal holiday destination for all.

Summary: We spent a fantastic week at the property. Our party was made up of 4 adults and 2 children (aged 7 and 2). The pictures of the property do not do it justice! It’s spacious, clean and has everything you need for a great holiday. The location of the property is ideal for exploring all that the Dordogne has to offer. We visited Brantome, Périgueux and Oradour-sur-Glane, all of which are mentioned in the welcome book. Leigh was was very friendly and welcoming. The large pool along with the hot tub was a huge hit with all. We didn’t use the small private pool as we were the only guests there. We were all sad to leave! Thank you for a brilliant week.

Summary: We had a fabulous time, pool was fantastic, farmhouse well equipped,stunning rural location although nearest village a short drive away. , it was a little quiet for the teenagers,but they still had a great time, table tennis, badminton, swimming and we all loved the addition of a hot tub, great for stargazing! Thanks Leigh and Dave, we had a lovely stay ☺️

Summary: The farmhouse is quite remote, situated in beautiful countryside. This suited us very well as we wanted a relaxing holiday. The hosts Leigh and Dave were very helpful when anything was needed and ran a delightful little restaurant on site, which was always well patronisd by local people and visitors to the area. The two swimming pools were lovely and much needed when we were there in 30+ degrees. We had a very enjoyable holiday and would thoroughly recommend the farmhouse and the area.

Summary: We had a wonderful family holiday in the farmhouse on Leigh and Dave’s extensive property in the heart of the French countryside. Fabulous swimming pool and hot tub. Lots of activities for all the family- bike trails,BMX track, table tennis, ball games etc. We were never lost for anything to do. Local markets, interesting towns, lakes with beaches, animal parks. We must not forget the great food in Dave’s restaurant

Summary: We had a great trip to Leigh and Dave's property in June. The Farmhouse was plenty big enough for 4 adults, two toddlers, one child and a dog! Leigh made sure stair gates were put up, she supplied two cots and two highchairs for the youngest members of the group. There were also lot of toys and games for the three little ones. Leigh was excellent in responding to any questions we had (and there were plenty!) and both Leigh and Dave provided us with lots of information when we were there. The restaurant is being refurbished but Leigh and Dave were still happy to organise pizzas etc. We just ate in the farmhouse as it was so hot when we were there. There were lots of great lakes and towns to visit within a 20-30 minute drive. The farmhouse is in a really remote location, but we found that was the same with most places we visited whilst across in France. The area was extremely beautiful. Overall we had a brilliant time and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Summary: The farmhouse was clean cool and spacious which was great as the temp topped 38 degrees during our stay , open plan down stairs 8 seat dining area Smart TV with English sky free view . 3 bedrooms plus a two bed bunk room 3 bathrooms 4 toilets washing machine dishwasher range cooker private hot tub small private swimming pool larger communal pool table tennis and badminton nets . Leigh and Dave the owners live on site are very accommodating , they also run a small restaurant seasonally on site which is very useful. Would we stay again yes . It is a good 7 to 8 hour drive from Calais we added that to our holiday by booking hotel rooms on route and return to sample different areas of France which only made it a more cultured experience. If you want a relaxing time with family its great for adults and children alike feels like a family home . Leigh and Dave thank you for our stay with you we hope you have a great summer , Adrian , Rachel and the boys

Summary: We ended up staying in the owners own property which was amazing, but the farmhouse is beautiful too. Dave has done most of the work himself and is a true craftsman. Nothing was too much trouble. The land surrounding the pwwas stunning, and there is so much to do if you are prepared to drive a few miles. The local lakes are wonderful, if you get to them in the morning you can have the whole lake to swim in by yourself. Pleanty of places around to eat, drink, visit and watch the world. Equally you could stay the whole of your holiday at the property and escape from the rat race. The recent addition of a restaurant is an added bonus, paethe stone backed hand made pizza. This is a place you have to try.

Summary: The hosts Leigh and David were great, they made us feel at home and couldn’t do more to ensure our stay was relaxing and stress free. All the facilities were brilliant, from a lovely farm house with all mod cons, to a wonderful pool area and great outside space for the kids to run free. The restaurant on site was perfect and proofed a hit for all in our party. We’ll definitely be back to this hidden gem as it has been the most relaxing and stress free holiday we’ve ever had.
