The lovely market town of Helmsley provides excellent shops for day to day requirements, Rievaulx Abbey and the National Park Information Centre are within easy reach.

Summary: We spent 3 nights in this lovely cottage and enjoyed every minute! It was spotlessly clean, well equipped and really cosy and comfortable. The log burner was especially appreciated for cosy nights by the fire after a full day exploring the spectacular North York Moors. The views from the cottage are beautiful and the surroundings are perfect for anyone just wanting to get away from it all. Summary: Had a beautiful holiday here at Featherholme farm cottage situated about 5 miles from the little town of Helmsley, the cottage is nestled in a small valley on the North Yorkshire Moors, surrounded by forest and woodland, and hills, beautiful views from the cottage, lovely garden, well kepted and clean, hosts very welcoming and helpful, and ideal holiday for anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle, lovely local walks and river near by for those who want to fish. Summary: For us we felt right at home straight off, although if you’re a little less mobile the 2 steps to get into the bungalow are a challenge. It doesn’t have wi-fi and the cell signal is spotty and only available next to the window ledge of the patio doors. But if you want to escape technology and really chill out, this is the spot.
